Dblock Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 It disengages the shift lock when pushed or pulled. So e.g the battery is dead and you need to move it shift lock off theh stick it in neutral. Quote
Sharpen Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) it allows the drive selector lever to be moved out of the 'P' postition when the ignition is off, allowing the N to be selected if you needed to push it; I had to use it when I had issues with my steering lock and they came to tow it away.
