I think for £5k and then a bit more to go on mods, you'll best going after a JDM 276 BHP manual coupe. You will get one with half decent miles if you up the car buying budget to 5500-6000 and you'll probably have some good mods on there anyhow.

 

You will pay a premium for a UK GT when there isnt an awful lot of difference really in that price bracket.

 

You may pay upto a couple of hundred more, (max) for insurance but over the course of a year it isnt much really is it?

How often do the JDM ones come about for sale exactly? I'm open to ideas, and i dont mind saving a little more for a better price bracket.
