Well maintained UK GT for 6k is really pushing it, especially from a dealer. Not saying it's impossible but you could be looking for a looooong time. A lot of cars will have had front end resprays because they collect stonechips like nothing on earth due to the shape and the terrifyingly thin paint. Colour matching can be a bit of an issue with zed paint, but there's no excuse for it all to be peeling off.

I don't think that's unfair call by the sales guy. Admittedly I'm over the other side of the pond, but our tarmac roads are brutal on paint (much the same as yours over there), thusly lots of 350's have had nose respray, actually so have a fair number of the 370's (over here).

+1 on the stone chips and IMO your budget is very low for a good example GT.
