FAQ: Will I enjoy the initial 350Z driving experience?

The z is an easy car to drive normally. It has a heavy feel to all major controls (steering, clutch and gearchange) compared to an average saloon or hatchback.

The 350z is a powerful (and torquey) rear-wheel drive car. The rear of the car will step out if you apply to much power (particularly say exiting a tight roundabout in the wet). For most people this will be part of the appeal of the car. It is well-behaved for a rear drive car and includes modern safety systems (traction control and stability programme) for when you want them. There are things which you can get away with in a front or four-wheel drive car which will cause you problems if tried in a rear-drive car.

It is always worth considering advanced driver training (particularly when buying your first powerful rear drive car). You?ll almost certainly enjoy the training, enjoy the car more and feel more confident that you can drive it safely. These organisations offer advanced driver training. No recommendations are implied. You may wish to consider asking about whether a session in your car at a private facility is available so that you can explore the limits safely.
