High biting point on clutch and judder when cold?

I've only had the 370 for three weeks, but over previous cars the clutch biting point seems quite high in relation to the overall pedal travel. Is this normal, and if I'm a little quick releasing and not applying any gas I get a slight judder when pulling away (like a slip, but literally very slight), and wondered if a) this was normal and B) if I should be looking at sending it into the dealers. Its only got 6400 miles! I dont think even that can be said is wear and tear. Cheers!

If you haven't done so already, you can remove the helper spring and that makes the clutch much easier to work. There is also limited adjustment on the pedal itself to bring the pedal slightly closer to the floor, but that doesn't change engagement much.
