HEEL AND TOE

I became very involved with this topic in the USA in two papers..

1: Heel and toe constructed by tyre design, the 'pinch/push' effect

2: Over active coil, under active damper (ratio)

The arbitrator acted on both conclusions without conclusively displaying results and/ or arguments.

Seemingly in the UK the 'cupping' is uncommon but the lateral front tyre wear is. A revision in the front toe displays inadequate compensation but seemingly a new toe position has become recognized.... i dispute this position.

People have been finding that once suspension has been changed along

with tyres that the feathering/cupping hasn't reared it's ugly head again after a competant allignment :teeth:

I'll be able to confirm/rubbish that pretty soon......

Anyone here that's changed their suspension/tyres+allignment

still got feathering???

I did not change the tyres as iam thinking about changing the alloys at a later date .

The car seems not to have the tyre roar at speeds upto 30mph now , as for tyre wear ill let you know in due course
