Pre-treatment for new stainless steel exhaust?

Hi,

 

My new Buddy Club exhaust has just arrived (mega yay! and many thanks to CS) but my mechanic is very busy at the mo and can't fit it for another week (boo!) and I'm wondering if there's anything worthwhile I can do beforehand?

 

Is there anything you can pre-treat them with to keep them looking all sparkly once on? Someone I know who's well into the Civic scene that Buddy Club seem to cater for say that he finds they discolour quicker than others.
