Dicky Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Anyone had problems following disconnection of the battery? I know about the door windows from the manul and Im told by the garage that I'll loose the radio code. They also said I would loose any ECU software upgrageds that may have been installed from new as it would default to original settings. What do you think? Watshot Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 If you're refering to the text on 8-18, I think they are suggesting how you can leave the car securely locked with the battery disconnected, and subsequent re-connection. For working on the door in this instance, you just need to make sure the window is droped as far as you like, before the battery is disconnected, for the reason stated above. When re-connected you will have to operate the window up and down to re-engage the auto-drop. Basically, don't worry about it. Quote
