Kennydies Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Good morning, I have my first service since I have owned the car at the end of the month. What oil is recommended at this milage? I am taking the car to a main stealer (Westover Nissan) do all dealers do a discount if you supply your own oil, I have never done that before. Any recomendations when taking your car to a garage, any do's and dont's? Thanks. Quote

bernmc Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Amsoil all the way for me. While you;re at it get an amsoil oil filter too. You should be able to get the stealer to knock off the price of the oil they'd normally use, but as the use sh1t, don't expect much! Quote

There isn't a better filter available anywhere, infact there isn't one that even gets close. Stats are appx 98% at 15 microns compared with paper filters 37%.
