SeanyBeez Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Hi All, I bought me new zed knowing that the factory fitted GPS was faulty, the dealer said it was the disc so i thought it would be easy enough to get a new disc for the system. today i took it to a nissan garage and he had a look and play and he believed it was the player because he said the discs were in good nick, and priced a new player for around 2-3 grand , which i gasped n then went on my way, the question is. has anyone had a issue with the factory fitted Sat Nav and if so would it be the disc or the player?, also would it be cheaper to get an aftermarket satnav installed?, i aint aware of the installation but i would buy the kit and try n fit it myself! i only have a budget of 200 - 300 pound so if there is no option i might just take it out. martinmac Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 OK, my bad wording. The birdview has a dvd drive, the loom and the screen. I have them all for sale after I fitted a different system. Nissan charge a ridiculous amount for the the full system but as it doesnt take postcodes they dont sell very well second hand. I may be tempted to sell the drive only. Its a replacement drive supplied by Nissan under warranty in about 07. Quote
