Andy Posted January 22, 2010 Share Posted January 22, 2010 As some of you may know from my rebuild thread, I have smoothed my door handles off and modified the stock solenoids to now pop the doors instead of unlocking them. I was wondering if anyone knows how TVR get round the problem of getting the doors to open even if the battery is dead?? I am assuming there is some kind of mechanical entry as well? I don't need to use this yet but the way I have it at the moment is a bit long winded if the battery goes so am looking for a better more efficient solution. Any ideas?? He has done this mod on his hotrod and suggest that cars with interior bonnet catch release, may want to run remote battery jumpers on the outside of the car, to enable you to jump the car without the bonnet open. Andy Posted January 23, 2010 Author Share Posted January 23, 2010 The car is always garaged so i'm not too worried about that, not sure where they would ice up either I have never understood the whole, being able to open the doors in a crash' thing either.....what happens if your doors are locked from the inside?
