Guest prescience Posted January 14, 2006 Share Posted January 14, 2006 When you go FI you need to be aware of these possible side effects of a bad tune. Pre-Ignition is very desctructive and kills your motor - thankfully it is rare Detonation can be very desctructive and is nornally handled by retarding timing with the stock ECU.
