Goochie Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 My Z roadster has done a little over 1000 miles, so this morning I decided to give it it's first propper drive to work on some nice empty B roads It went very well but one thing I did ntice was that the gearbox seemed to become noticable looser and when stationary you really could hear the gearchange when I changed from one gear to the next. I assume it is the gearbox oil that has thinned with the heat? Is this normal? Quote

stevie_350z Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 My gearbox is well noisy - in fact, the whole car is noisy (mind you, I don't get any interior squeeks...yet). The gear box "rattles", the back wheels creak like an old man's knees, and sometimes when stationary and in neutral I can hear the cogs turning somewhere in front of me. I've done just over 10k.
