Changing colour in photoshop

Can anybody give some simple instructions on how to change a specific colour in an image? I followed a tutorial, some time ago, and remember that it was pretty straight forward...but can I remember now?

 

I have an image of a painting that's predominantly purple and I wish to change the purple to green. An online gallery will then be able to knock up the finished article for me

Cheers, had a fiddle and also found

 

Image > Adjustments > Replace Colour

 

Will have a play with both methods
