My Alpine unit is all up and running but the Nissan (male) ariel connector is too fat to connect with the Alpine (female) ariel connector. I bought one of these; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165626 but this is the same size as the Nissan connector and still will not fit the Alpine (female) connector. I bought this one but it was the same size as the Nissan one and wouldn't fit inside the Alpine female socket. Now you know me, I reached for the mole grips and tried to modify it to fit.
