CarPC install questions

So, i'm looking to buy a 350Z soon, and i'm just doing research on how to replace the audio system.

I'm thinking of the car PC route, using the following Double DIN touch screen (will add a second monitor to the cubby - haven't choosen yet):

Assuming i buy a Z with steering controls, i've looked into a way of using these with it:

http://www.shipsound.com/product_info.p ... _id=102843 - IR receiver for PC

http://www.advancetec.co.uk/acatalog/info%5f728%2ehtml - Steering wheel controls to IR

Now does this look like it would fit the Z's steering controls? - As long as i can get the IR signals sent, i'm good to go..

Then finally would be the sound from the PC to the factory amp.. now i have no idea about the connections on car amps, but im assuming this method should work?

http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSYRA154 - PC to RCA connector wired to:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136CLR2SW/ ... ml?tp=2610 - RCA to amp connectors

My main question is does anyone see any major problems with this or are there any other solutions available that i have overlooked?

Still not decided, i've looked into pre-built car pcs, as i only need a low spec, and i think i've decided it works out cheaper than building it myself, which was the plan in the first place.

Just to let you know I'm considering the same thing and I'm probably going to use the following as the brains:

The processor is a few revisions better than the one you have in an iphone and it's absolutely tiny (I'm using one at work and it's about the size of the palm of my hand). There are pre-built linux kernels so it's perfect. I need to decide on the best screen but I don't have too much time at the moment.

When I get round to it I'll update people with my progress.
