Bought from trade dealer without road tax, is this legal?

Id never trust a traders word for it that its HPI clear. I HPI check every car I buy myself..

 

Id avoid Cat D cars - their record is tarnished and they are a nightmare to sell on.

 

Fien - I hope they gave you a good chunk discount off the asking price!

repaired Cat D cars are fine as long as you get a total bargain. For some people it's a way of owning something they couldn't normally afford but obviously it is what it is and will always be a cheap hard to sell car.
