Reversing Camera?

Can it be done with the Bird View SAT NAV system in place

My idea would be to get a small camera and fit it in the boot. I cant find a reversing light so il have to wire it into the sat nav with a switch maybe to switch the AV input from the Sat nav dvd player to the camera?

Reverse light comes off the reverse bulb in the cluster in the bumper.

 

Best to wire it to a constant live and then switch views on the HU / Sat Nav.

 

Or even better, get front and a rear alpine ones as they come with a remote switch so you can then change views on the cameras. Front one has a cool split screen so you can look for traffic approaching left and right at a junction... Even better would be to add a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) like an archos so you can record what you see on screen...

 

Yes you can go to far, but it would work brilliantly in my mind!

But can the Bird View sat nav take another video in from a camera?

i found a site selling the kit about a year ago, but cant remember where.

would like to find it again as i want front and back cameras to work on the birdview also
