This new metallic black?

I read theres a new colour to the 2006 range.

 

Anyone got any examples of the colour? Or the 2 side by side if possible.

You'll probably need to see the car yourself to notice the difference.

 

Basically the original Kuro black is a 'flat' black, very deep gloss possible when looked after well like all flat blacks, but will show up every little swirl or mark on it.

Ebisu black is the replacement for the MY06 - it has a mild 'pearl' finish (a very fine metallic, effectively) and aparently thicker with more laquer. The pearl effect is most noticable in direct sunlight, showing slight shade changes.

 

You probably won't see much from a photograph unless it's taken with a macro lens probably with a tripod!

I wonder how much it costs to get my 55 resprayed with the new black. The current one is driving me insane - chip on door, now on bonnet, with squirls - despite waxing it more than my girl does her... legs.
