cgomez1978 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 i bought my 350Z about 3 months ago and had a clicking noise coming from the rear drivers side wheel when lighty pressing the brake at slow speeds. the garage couldn't find what the problem was and said it was nothing to worry about which i wasn't happy about so after some letters threatening them with court they decided to have another look. they changed the discs which stopped the noise for a bit but then it came back so it went back in and then they said it was because the brake pads were loose and rattling because there was no copper grease behind the pads so they applied some which for the past 3 months there has been no noise but now i think it is coming back does this sound right to anyone Quote
neodc Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 does this sound like the axle clicking problem people have, i know i have the noise and it took the garage a while to find it.. maybe disturbing the rear disks made the noise quieten down and now its back ? Quote
tmJak Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I've developed a similar noise where it sounds like a click coming from both of the rear brakes. Each side clicks once then its fine. Think a trip to ESR is on the cards Quote

Think a trip to ESR is on the cards when the handbrake has been on ? this is normal if the handbrake is applied when the discs are hot, the pads stick a little and you can hear them release Quote

Cheers Gix. Okay then, I'll have to find another noise to worry about to justify an ESR trip Quote

It involves putting a new pair of shoes in the passenger footwell - or the hairy side of my hand depending on how much stella I've drunk. . . Quote
