European headlight regs

How do I modify the Z headlamps for European fast lane shinnannygins? I.e. how do I make them point to the right instead of the left.

 

I seem to have mislaid my manual (I wonder if my ex threw it out...)

You have to buy 2 stickers to put on the headlamps..... I bought them but never put them on last summer, just had them in case they stopped me

Ah, the stickers... I was told they didn't work with Xenons... I will check them out (Halfords?). Cheers

why wouldn't they work with the Xenons????

 

I got them just before getting on the Ferry

They only work with headlamps with exterior lenses. Projector headlamps, including xenons do not have exterior lenses, so Stevie is correct.

 

I'd take the along but not bother to fit them if your only going across the channel for a weekend.

so how would you comply with the regs if you have Xenons? Many more owners have just got the stickers too btw

You'd have to have them adjusted, probably at an MOT centre with the beam pattern aparatus.... Not many people do that I'd imagine

 

Stickers are enough to put off the foreign plod though

When I go abroad I just lower the beam settings so I dont dazzle anyone...not so good on dip beam though

How do you lower the beam angles?

Or more to the point how do you raise them? Mine have never had very good range - perhaps they're set too low.

Go to a MOT centre and have them adjust it, they'll probably charge you a couple of quid. Don't attempt to do this yourself unless you know what you are doing, as if you set it too high, you'll p!ss off everyone else on the road, not to mention it'll be illegal.
