iNezzy Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Couple of days back i noticed a misfire on the car when the car was hot. During the misfire the smell of fuel was incredibly potent. If I let the car cool down, it goes away. No eml.was illuminated. It was suggested that I try unplugging the maf and running the car again, this did not seem to make any difference other than illuminated the eml. Left if for a day, arranged recovery, during recovery the car was code scanned and showed: Air mass and temp i understand are part of the same and a result of me unplugging. Cylinder 3 misfire I suspect coil pack. Now, i thought ill swap coil 1 and 3 nusg to see if the fault follows but now the car refuses to give me an error code? Despite trying 3 different scanners from cheap home Bluetooth to professional equipment. So i cant actually see if the fault moved. Whats the chances a coil fixes this? What else could it be? How can I get the car to spit a code at me... Quote
Keith D Posted 21 minutes ago Posted 21 minutes ago Sorry are you saying you swapped the coil packs over and the misfire went away? Quote
