Does 2008 350z HR require ECU reset or is it another issue?,

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,I hope you are all well.So I drove the 350z after a while ,maybe just over a month or so as I bought myself a daily. The car seemed fine when I went for a drive last night,at first it drove fine ,poped into a shop to grab a drink, once I started the car again it sounded as if I just had turned the car on from a cold start which was not the case..When I drive the revs shoot up but take a long time to drop even letting go of the accelerator, once the car is stationary it idles at over 1000 RPM and gradually raise the RPM's itself. Any idea why this may be?..I read about resetting the ECU may help by doing a 'pedal dance'  or something, I have not tried anything to resolve the issue as of yet especially having very limited knowledge with a issue like this, any help would be highly appreciated, thank you
