Tales of my dickie passenger side power window

After 12 months of trying to get to the bottom of my intermittent dreaded passenger side door being unresponsive issue that is common.

What I changed

New motor. As everyone says it goes.

Changed

Now my passenger window goes up and down twice as fast as my drivers side.

New passenger side door window control panel

Door ajar switch.

Neither did anything. And the problem persists.

My drivers side control panel works fine. Window lock button works when I depress it.

What was the problem. It is the bloody window lock button on the control panel.

As I said it works . Depress it and it locks the window.  And when it’s not depressed it works.

Bar the fact the switch must be a bit iffy as when the window sticks I SLIGHTLY depress the window lock button and the window bursts into life and when i release it sticks again!  As said only slightly depress it...  and 9 times out of 10 it works fine.

And because in opening and closing the drivers door to get in the car I cannot predict when the passenger side window will play up as it’s intermittent. As the switch usually works fine.

Hopefully this will be of some help to somebody saving them changing the whole bloody power windows for nothing like I did !
