heyho Posted July 19, 2018 Share Posted July 19, 2018 Has anyone replaced stock fans with the Mitshimoto ones. As part of trying to sort out overheating problem I have I replaced the stock fans and am currently following the excellent guide on here about bleeding the coolant and refilling etc. Part of this advice says to have the car running on idle for 10 minutes with temp set high. Done this (left for 15-20 mins) and also done the 3 x 3000rpm thing. The good news is that the temp gauge never went above half way and that the heater blew very hot (and also very cold when the air con was on). No gurgling either. But in all this time idling the Mitshimotos fans never automatically came on. They did come on like a jet engine when I put the air con on though. Is this operation normal for them?
