Knocking Engine - Where to repair

Hi All,

 

Completely new to the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong place, a few months ago I (stupidly) let the engine run somewhat dry of oil and now its knocking, the car still runs but obviously I have left it shut of since the knocking started.

 

After speaking to a few local garages & nissan I've basically been told by them all that they don't wanna touch it ?

 

Does anyone know / have any recommendations of people / places that would take on an engine rebuild, the knocking isn't terrible so i'm hoping I haven't completely screwed it.
