I was coming home from Sheffield and would usually go straight up the M1 but the M62 was at a stand still due to a tanker leak (I think) so google maps redirected me that way! I caught the flash just as you passed by, but my reactions weren't good enough to return it I always avoid the motorways, whenever I try them they end up being restricted to 40 and there's much more chance of really bad traffic.
