jhobbs90 Posted June 22, 2016 Share Posted June 22, 2016 Hi guys, Need some advice/experience with regards to my 06 plate DE. At higher rpm (generally above 4k) there's a random squeal coming from the car, it only happens for a second when running at high rpm and putting my foot down. For example yesterday was sat at about 4K and put my foot down and the squeal appeared and immediately went away, almost as if it's related to engine load? My transmission is quite loud (normal I know) but would it be related to this? I've seen online people having problems with squealing belts but all seem to report the issue when the car is cold, mine has no issues as such. Should I be concerned? Doing a road trip across Europe in August, would hate for something major to happen on the continent! Anyone had similar symptoms?
