Or at least mess with ratios so 2nd gear is hitting a much more uniformed 60mph

 

As mentioned above, swap out you diff to change gearing. Try the lower ratio auto diff, will be cheap (if doable).

 

Sounds like the best option to get full power at more reasonable speeds. Thanks
