Monday morning, 7.30am (no bank holiday in Scotland ) - black coupe heading West on Queens Road

Spotted on the "For Sale" board at the Kippie Lodge sports centre - black 2005 coupe - £17.5K ono..........

Abz is FULL of Audis these days. I reckon this is at least partly because a lot of Merc drivers have switched to Audi due to the various Merc quality issues over the past few years - especially the paint fiasco.

Sorry for not being on recently; busy at work then on hols (back last night).
Didn't see any Zs in Mallorca. Just as well as I was driving a Toyota Auris 1.4 diesel rentalmobile. Slow and gutless but amazing fuel consumption - the digital gauge didn't move for over 200kms and I thought it was knackered! Reckon it was doing about 70 mpg........ Went for a drive today after 2 weeks of the Auris and the Z felt like a rocket
I'd be up to meet for a couple of beers sometime. Where do you suggest?

No, not mine; been stuck at work all day. Chalk up another one!

ab350z - Hope you didn't flash at the harbour. Remember Gordon Bennett!!

Aye, I've been surprised by the number of Zs I've seen up here since I bought mine (silver coupe) back in May! I guess you tend to notice particular models of cars more when you own one, but there's plenty about.
Other than my own, the one I see most often is a silver JDM coupe that seems to spend a lot of time in the B&Q car park at Bridge of Dee!

Got round to taking a couple of pics

Thanks guys.
As you say, if the gauge wasn't there and the dipstick reading was fine then you wouldn't worry about it!
Thanks also for the tips re. oil. I see there's a lot of info about that on the forum. No idea what it has in it at present as it hasn't had its first service yet - due no later than September. All I've done is dipped to check that there's enough in it and that the oil is reasonably clean.

Sorry if this is a topic that's been covered previously and, if so, please just direct me to the relevant thread, but as a new Z owner (3 weeks and loving it) , I'm trying to suss out what the "normal" range of readings should be on the oil pressure gauge - e.g what should it be reading at tickover, at 70 mph etc? How do I know if it's too low?
The owner's manual isn't really any help on this.
Any advice from experienced Z owners appreciated.

Cheers. Tough season for Killie in the football!

Whereabout in NZ do you live Bronzee? One of my best mates is a Kiwi who now lives up here working in the oil industry. He's originally from Taranaki and goes back every couple of years to see the rellies. Always telling me that I need to get out to NZ for a holiday!
He also told me that when he was a teenager he used to drive various cool Jap sports cars that were available very cheap as container loads of them were shipped into NZ from Japan once they were a two or three years old. Sounds great!

Wow, thanks for all the welcome messages!
I'll post some pics shortly but the Z is silver with grey interior and Rays alloys.
I'd seen one I liked the look of in Autotrader a few weeks back at a dealer in Kirkcaldy and arranged to go down to see it on a Thursday as the Wednesday was the sales guy's day off. I stupidly didn't give him a mobile number, set off early Thursday morning, and arrived to see an immaculate Z with a 'sold' sticker on the windscreen. Another salesman had flogged it to a walk-in on the Wednesday!
The guy I was dealing with was very apologetic and I guess these things happen but I was totally gutted. Then on the Friday I got a call from him saying he had sourced another slightly newer, but otherwise identical, car through Nissan. I paid a deposit on the basis that it would be spotless, the garage had it trailered up to Scotland, I went back down to Kirkcaldy to see it, drove it, loved it, agreed to buy it and it's now all mine! I guess it was just meant to be.......

Hi, I just picked up my 2007/57 350Z GT Coupe on Tuesday and found the forum after a quick search on Google.
Haven't done many miles yet but loving it already!
Cheers

Z just turned a year old and is due its first (P1) service. Any recommendations for servicing in the Abz area?
I don't want to put the warranty at risk so I guess it has to be a main dealer which would be Evans Halshaw in the Lang Stracht. Any thoughts on them?
