  1. That's not really an option, as I didn't have the money to buy an engine in the 1st place, that's why it went through the insurance.
  2. He wouldn't go into detail, just told me it wasn't possible. OHHHH well, I guess it's a nice new shiney Roadster on the cards. Maybe something slightly newer, sat nav model maybe??? I'm excited already, well sort of.
  3. UPDATE ON THE ZED. Well I've had the insurance company on the phone and they recon it will cost a little over 13K to repair, so it's getting wrote off. They have offered my slightly more Than expected so I'm pleased with that, BUT, they refused point black to sell me the car back. So the state of play is, they are going to get intouch with the finance company and pay what they offered me off my finance. Don't think it will totally clear it though unfortunately. So I'm in the market for a new Zed roadster soon I have to say though, the insurance company have been great, nothing was a problem at all and couldn't help enough. So that's the current state of play folks, more updates soon.
  4. Stay away from the downpipe and manifold then cos they get pretty damn hot, recon it will burn your dinner to a crisp lmao. Put dinner in a roasting tray and leave on engine to keep food piping hot Lol.

  6. It was on the front cover of Jap performance magazine in December. I'll stick a few more pics up for ya of the JP Photoshoot
  7. Now we know why you chose your username Thanks Vik Can't wait to get her out for some WOT theropy. It's going up for sale in a month or so.
  8. Thanks Vicky I'm hoping to get her out for a test flight today sometime.
  9. Not sure if I'll be there dude. I'm at work until 10AM so wouldn't get there until 12 anyways and JNE or supra owners club doesn't have a stand so I'd have to leave it in the car park and I don't fancy that if I'm honest. Do you he e a trade stand there then?
  10. Things have improved a bit over the course of today. I managed to sell my poor punto for 180 quid, My new little pug 106 is now good to go, and I've even got a head unit in it now I've stripped all the timing gear off the supra and replaced the tensioner. It's all back together now waiting for the rain to stop so she can go for a test flight. This is how she's looking.
  11. I Hear what your saying, it's just been a stressful week, but I'm holding it together, for my own sanity more than anything else lol.
  12. Well if that's the case then its pointless putting an engine in it.
  13. Out of interest, does anyone know, if the insurance say it not ecconominally repairable and I buy it back from them, will the car be registered as a Cat'D?
  14. Holy feck, that makes me feel a shed load better. It's just all came at a bad time really. I know it will all straighten itself out but it doesn't stop a bloke from. Worrying and stressing about it all.
  15. TOO MUCH POWER, total lol. Wash your mouth out young lady
  16. Good to see you still have your sense of humour - hope you have a decent outcome Dude, if I don't laugh I'll lose the plot. My week has been unreal. Thursday the engine on the Zed, Friday, engine mount on my punto snapped whilst my wife was working away, consequently snapping the exhaust clean off (the car has now gone to the scrap man). Sunday the timing belt tensioner on my single turbo supra decided it didn't want to play at high RPM anymore. Could have been catostrophic if my ECU hadn't detected a miss match between the cam and crank sensors and pulled the timing and killed the boost. So that has to be replaced ASAP. So I've been out and tret myself to 360 quids worth of R reg Pug 106 diesel. But atleast my house hasn't burnt down to the ground yet, so that's a positive Like Ricey says - that is most deFinately a contender for the week from hell! BTW - I'm no Dude Sorry lol, there's no user names in people's avatars on here, and to be honest I think almost everyone on the Supra forum is a bloke lol.

  18. Was actually wetter than that. I had to drop the roof to let the Shark out or he said he was gona bite my ass.
  19. It was pretty damn wet. But who knows. It now stinks inside of dirty water too. The repairers have been into touch today letting me know they will start there estimate and get back to me in the next couple of days. Let's hope things move quickly.
  20. I've already pulled the plugs and tried to turn it over by hand and it's solid and won't budge. I've put it all back together and the insurance company had the car taken away yesterday (Monday) for inspection. I'll update as soon as I hear anything.
  21. Well let's hope not. Again it's something I'm going to have to wait until I speak to the insurance company.
  22. If you spend another 2/3k on fitting a new engine it will still only be wirth 7k I don't quite see the point of not taking the insurance route You get paud out £7k then get to buy another roadster that hasn't had to have a new engine.... I've been given a good price from Alex for a good Low mileage engine so if the insurance write the car off I'll negotiate a settlement and keep the car then fit the engine myself, maybe with a few cheeky mods along the way, with the help of the forum I must add
  23. Thanks Vicky. Hope you and Michael are well Yeah it was a little unexpected for sure. I've just got to suck it up and move on I suppose. I've got a spare bare short block for The Kraken in the shed so I wouldn't have been that bad really I don't thing lol. I had it out today and abused it quite a lot, made me feel much better lol.
