  1. Cheers guys. I was hoping someone would say it was a common, easy to fix issue. Looks like a trip to the garage might be needed (though the noise will stop by the time I get there).
  2. Anyone able to help with this one? When I first use the car in the morning and it's still cold, for the first couple of miles, when I turn round a corner or use a roundabout there is a really weird sound that is a mixture of a squeeling, wheezing and chugging that seems to come from the front wheel arches. The sound is mechanical and can best be described as a loud version of that wheeze that all new MINI's seem to make. This never used to happen and after a little while it goes, until the next day.
  3. Doh! Completely missed that post. Cheers fellas.
  4. Hi all, I've had a look through some of the past posts on here but can't really work out what to do (this electronics and ICE stuff makes my head hurt). Basically I've got a 2005 350Z GT with the bose system. As we all know the bose headunit is crap. Mine no longer believes that it has a CD function so I can only listen to the radio. I need to get a new headunit but what's stopping me is finding one that will integrate with the stering wheel radio controls and the cars in-build bluetooth phone system (in the armrest). Can anyone recommend a headunit that will easily slot in, or do I need to take it to a specilist to get all of these things working in harmony? Budget is a couple of hundred quid as the car already has sat nav, all I want to do is play CDs and maybe plug in my iPod. Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks for the advice and the welcomes. I have a friend of a friend who is an electrics expert giving it the once over tomorrow so fingers crossed.
  6. Hi all, my Bose Nissan Radio with integrated 6 CD changer is broken. A CD has become jammed in it and now it won't insert, eject or play any CDs. As my warranty expired (on the same day as the issue) Wessex Nissan in Cardiff said that I should pay £1000 for a new one, even though they didn't remove the existing one to look at the fault in greater detail! Has this happenend to anyone else, is it a common fault? Does anyone know a simple solution or somewhere I can buy the standard CD radio at a reasonable price?
