  1. It is not a chip mate it is a complete ecu , they are not cheap but then again they are not rip off either they retail for 1499+vat then there is ofcourse mapping charges on top a full custom remap on the dyno is 500+vat so your basically looking at 1999+vat.
  2. Hello Everyone, thank you for such a welcome to the board i dont normally have time to go on forums but being sunday today and not actually working on a car but my bathroom instead i found excuses to have a break from it lol. Right the Haltech ecu is at the moment the best option for a 350z, it is a stand alone system but is intergrated with the stock ecu, it is plug and play which means no wiring unless your fitting a 3 bar map sensor in the engine bay which is optional. We are Haltech Dealers in Scotland and we had 1 of 10 test ecu's through the development stage of Haltech making this ecu. basically it controls alot of stuff and leave a few things to the stock ecu which we wouldnt really need to play with the main interests are that you can control ignition timing and fueling and one of the biggest advantages is that we can also control the cam over lap etc making for good torque all round. We have only supplied one to a customer which as i said above was 1 of 10 development units and now the ecu's have been released in the states we will be able to order them now as before they simply were not available to the public. I will next week ask my customer to come in and well take some photos of the car and engine bay for you lot to see but the impressive thing is that the car is so smooth you woudlnt even know it was all added. It makes excellent power at 6psi boost. We wouldnt supply a product like this unless we tried and tested it ourselves so your not in the situation of just buying it with no support. it is hard for me to gauge on a NA car the advantages of having this control ie estimating power but no matter what car or engine rather having full control to live map with a stand alone system will always yield the best results. So someone come in order one and lets find out. This specific 350z runs a power enterprise stage 3 turbo kit, japspeed decats, hks full stainless exhaust ( think 70 or 60mm forget ) with titanium tips and ofcourse the haltech ecu and makes what i feel is impressive 403 ft\lbs of torque and 406 bhp at the flywheel ( ill have to dig up whp which is what really counts. It has 20" wheels fitted to it so helps with traction btu obviously reduces wheel horsepower slightly. the car originally made just under 300 bhp in stock form and when decatted made 312 top end but lost alot of low end torque the reason being the stock cam overlap settings wouldnt have been suited for the flow but now with the haltech we can play with all that and optimize every load area ; I look forward to seeing some of you fit the Haltech ecu as it is really good and value for money considering that it is the only standalone option for it at the moment and haltech not playing the monopoly card on everyone , i know they have spent alot of money and done heaps of research into this project and it really is value for money. There are updates all the time with more and more features being added all the time. feel free to pop in or call us and i apologise in advance if i dont reply on the forum regularlyas i am really busy and i am nto being ignorant so all that have urgent requests please feel free to call or pass by. Might be going to crail soon with my car and that 350z if he does decide to tag along ill let you all know so you can see the car on the strip Regards
  3. Hello everyone, We just wanted to introduce ourselves and say Hi. Regards Simon & Paula
  4. Hello Everyone, We just wanted to introduce ourselves and say hi. With regards to the ECU question you do not have to go piggy back as Haltech have now developed the standalone giving excellent results and control which far exceed a piggy back. Regards Japerformance
