  1. I'm hopefully getting my scorpion fitted at the weekend, I'll let you know how it goes...
  2. Hi all, Poor Chris had his DC5 'jacked' on a test drive this weekend. I doubt anyone is stupid enough to be driving around in it but it would be good if you could all keep an ear to ground. I'm sure they will look to sell the stereo and other mods seperately or whatever these filth do. Hopefully the insurance will come good and Chris can join team-Z... Be careful... 3. 1). The paint, especially in black. 2). The 'cancel your fun' ECU. 3). The lack of (simple) IPOD interaction without replacing the HU, then needing a PAC-ROM, then steering wheel matrix... I forgive her all that as soon you get to wring her out in 3rd up a slip road and toast mr 330ci on the A-roads
  4. Thanks Trev, and may I say that's looking mighty clean Sorry to repeat but does anyone know if US 'super black' is the same as UK Kuro Black? The one's I am planning to order are pre painted.
  5. Hi guys, Another huge, expensive mod on the way... I'm getting some Nissan OEM splash guards I'm ordering the guards from JDM (pre painted) and I've noticed the colour code is 'super black 2003-2005' as the parts are from the States. Does anyone know if 'super black' is different to the UK Kuro Black? Also has anyone on the forum fitted these? I would imagine its a few self tapping screws and check alignment before committing. Thanks, Matt.
  6. I can confirm it's very tidy car lads, Chris always maintains his cars to the highest standard. Why is it for sale though? Simple - he's had a go of my Zed and he knows he wants one!
  7. 75 pounds from MJP - http://www.mjpshop.co.uk/category.php?id=38 I've ordered from MJP in the past, everything is well packaged and offical Nissan kit.
  8. Not sure Phil, I've never really liked black and chrome! I could well be pestering you for a K1 exhaust in a couple of weeks though
  9. I'm sure some of you have seen this before.. BUT.. Fast forward to about 30 seconds in. The quality of this kit will have big Phil & Co shaking in their boots!
  10. Has anyone bought a pair of these? http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_de ... =449008525 I was wondering if the fit is any good? The previous keeper must have kept coins/keys/pebbles in my door card - they're looking a little tatty! The door trims should set off nicely with my Nismo shifter. Cheers.
  11. Spotted a silver import with possible volks on St Georges Rd, turning into Albemarlie Rd. Looks and sounds Must have been around lunch time Saturday - 13th July!
  12. Welcome and best colour too! I hope you like waxing EVERY weekend
  13. Hi all, I have 1 spare ticket and transport organised for anyone interested in going to Le Mans. We depart (from Kent) on the 12th June via Eurotunnel and return on Monday 16th, again via Eurotunnel. I have the Eurotunnel tickets, race passes for whole weekend, grandstand tickets and camping in Maison Blanche. We also have a six man tent for 3, hopefully 4 people. You would simply need to bring cash for beer, food and petrol! Iam looking for face value which is about £310. There are 3 of us (one pulled out) taking my Z and a pug 206. We are all late 20's and enoy a beer and a laugh. PLEASE use the below contact details to get in touch, I don't usually check the site during the day. matthew_mccarthy@ssga.com 07912 029063. Or PM me but I might not respond for a bit. Cheers, Matt
  14. Hi there, I keep flirting with the idea of changing my Bose but it seems to be working fine in the warmer weather! I must admit I’m dying to get my Ipod connected… Here are some the links I've read... Sorry I can't offer any first hand experience but I'm sure someone will chip in. http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Portal:Stereo http://www.carstereoremoval.com/htm/ste ... 03_05P.htm Cheers, Matt
  15. I think the reviews tend to differ based on location. If you live in a more rural location they are generally quite good but not so hot if you live in or a near a large city. As you live near Manchester I guess you fit into the latter so it's all good I'm about 10 miles from the city of London and not had much luck with these types of products.. Or using my top 4 gears
  16. Hi Sean, I used to live in Chelmsford and back in the day I was always getting bits and pieces done to my 106 GTI. I had the lion removed from the bonnet, filled and blended etc. I used 'Chelmsford Accident Repairs' and they always done a great job. I forget his name (it was 6 years back) but always helpful and happy to quote. He used to have a long waiting list - but that can only be a good thing I guess! Let me know how you go. My front end could do with a touch up… Matt. Rivermead North Rivermead Ind Est, Chelmsford, CM1 1PD 01245 265264‎
  17. Hi Rob, If you have the GT you will have heated leather. Mine keeps the Mrs happy in winter so it must work! 2 months to wait eh, torture
  18. Would love to come along - would be my first Z meet. Cheers, Matt.
  19. Cool, this is the link (http://www.dvbcaraudio.co.uk/nissan-350 ... -3309.html). Ask for a guy called Mike on 0845 226 0714, nice bloke. They shipped mine out fist class for free.
  20. very true but the head unit is nice and close in the Zed. I'll post an update once I fit mine to see if the steering controls work. I had a 205 GTI years ago and it was real hazard playing with the radio with my short little arms!
  21. Hi there, I've just ordered an ISO from dvbcaraudio.co.uk. The ISO lead is part number AIS2260-ISO-LEAD and costs £23.95 with free delivery. This will connect to the (Bose) amp as long as your head unit has a pre out. I've not fitted mine yet as I only ordered it today so I can't comment on the steering wheel controls... I'm not too concerned if it doesn't work, you can only control the volume and track up/down. Cheers, Matt.
  22. Thanks guys.... After speaking to a few companies and weighing up my options I am going to ditch the Bose. I found these guys really helpful (http://www.dvbcaraudio.co.uk). They called me back in five minutes to confirm stock and understood their products. I ordered a Bose ISO lead (AIS2260) which will fully intergrate your Bose speakers and amp to aftermarket clobber, assuming head unit has pre outs. I also purchased a new fascia as I am going down the single din path. An extra cubby is always a bonus in the zed. The whole lot cost less than 45 quid with free delivery. Not bad as I have plenty of head units lying around from my hot hatch days... I'll post an update when I get round to fitting...
  23. I know this has been raised before - And I’ve seen a few links to Dension and peripheralelectronics but I was wondering if anyone on this site has actually bought and installed these products? I'm quite happy with my Bose system (bar the skipping) and I want to overcome this by fitting an Ipod lead and keeping the stock set up. To be honest I've out grown installs and the last thing I want to do is start fitting aftermarket head units, facia plates and harnesses etc. I'd prefer to keep the money for an exhaust and make some real music! I've tried the broadcasting kits and tape deck things, let's face it; you get what you pay for! Any advice welcome... Cheers.
