  1. I'm not the biggest fan of HDR, sometimes images look to much like CGI graphics, here's my attempt:

If you have Photoshop Elements 6, there are some cool things you can do to RAW images. Here is cut out and below is glow:

  2. I think there are 2 blue wires from the pac unit, 1 is the power ariel and the other is the power amp. You need to connect the power amp cable to the blue coming from your HU. No power to the amp, no sound.

I think you may need to hook up the blue ariel wire as well, so 2 blue wires from PAC to 1 blue wire from HU.

  3. Yep, it needs to be directly attched to the chassis. On mine I connected the 2 black wires from the Pac unit to the HU together but also joined another wire which I used as ground.

Think there is a thread, but the Bose doesn't have a proper ground via the wiring loom hence why its grounded by the chassis.

  4. Okay, got round to installing my new HU today. Wired up the PAC unit to a standard ISO block and plugged everything in.

The HU comes to life but no sound!! I did notice there was no power but as soon as the aerial was plugged I had power. Am I right in thinking I haven't grounded the HU? The black wire from the HU needs to be grounded?

  5. Cheers, I managed to work out which end goes where, just need to figure how I'm going to wire the other PAC unit I have for steering wheel control. I do miss not being able to control my ipod through the HU.

Blue meanie, I don't have a huge problem with the Bose HU, it's just nice to have all my load of albums on tap. Plus I'm getting bored of burning CD's. Mind you it wouldn't be so bad if the Bose was MP3 compatible.

  6. Guys, looking to replace my HU at some point and have ordered the ROEM so I can use the existing speakers and amp. Well I received the ROEM today but no instructions! Been searching the site but can't find out which end goes where.

Am I right in thinking that I need to splice the wires (2) that go into my HU and plug in the sockets (3) to the amp or the other way round??

Hold on, for a 2004 plate wouldn't the road tax be cheaper? I just got mine taxed (54 plate) and paid £210.
