  1. You could just place a 10" sub in the bose position but it wont be sealed and you wont be getting the best out of it and to be honest i think it'll sound pants. It would take quite abit of work and effort to make a decent 10" box for the bose sub location or you could contact Ikarus about his 8" box design.

My issue with the bose sub was its location, having it hitting you in the back gets annoying. With just my headunit and processor installed the bose sub really came alive and sound very good but its location is just all wrong in my opinion.

  2. This is another whats it worth thread as i'm looking to downgrade after just 8 months of 350Z ownership. We're looking to buy a house and are pushing to the maximum we can afford, as first time buyers i dont know the full costs of home ownership and dont want to come up short. We could keep the 350Z but then we could also save quite abit by downgrading for now. My car spec....

56 Plate GT 300 with Sat Nav

    12,600 miles

    Black Leather

    Very good Condition, Unmarked Rays

Mot till May 27th (but i can put a fresh year on)

    Tax till November 2011

Last Service was a P1 done on 15/09/10 @11,800 miles by CS.

Also has rear parking sensors and folding mirrors.

The car currently has a K1 fitted but i also have the stock exhaust which is in excellent condition.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Car Electronics should match their online price as they do for me all the time in the Leicester Store. Buying new is always going to cost alot and i would recommend sourcing some second hand gear if you want top end on a budget.

My setup would of cost over £1600 new just for parts. For example I picked up my 2 JL slash amps which cost £400 each new for £300, they were in mint condition and from a Car Electronics ex employee.

  4. I had a Z4 Roadster before the 350Z, great cars and one of few convertibles i actually liked, tried the latest MX5 but next to the Z4 it never stood a chance.

I wouldnt put the roof down much around town, it was more on open roads and when friends we're in the car with me as there more poser's.

My next car is going to be an S2 Elise.

ps. You wont find an elise for £5-6k now.

  5. Ive only ever owned 5 cars in my name, have been driving for 9 years now...

1988 1.3 Nova L - Dark Red (actually had 2 of these, first one was stolen)

    1989 1.5TD Nova Merit - Red

1988 Mk1 MR2 - Red (Still own this and will never sell it)

    2007 2.0i Z4 Roadster - Silver

    2006 350Z GT 300 - Gun Metal

    Fiancee's Cars...

    1991 1.2 Nova Spin - White

    1997 106 1.6XSi - Gold

2007 C2 VTS - Black (was brand new as it worked out cheaper)

2009 Swift Sport - Pearl White

Next car for me is an Elise and for the fiancee its either a C30, Alfa GT or E92 Coupe.

  6. I was looking to get a E92 Coupe before i got my 350Z, at the time a decent spec 320d M Sport was 17k+, still have a soft spot for them but have kinda promissed the girlfriend i'll buy her an Alfa GT Cloverleaf next.

  7. Everyone will recommend something different as speakers are really down to personnal preferance. I wanted a full JL install so went for JL speakers and amps with an Alpine headunit as i think they sound the best.

Remember car audio is all about the install and setup not just how much you've spent on equipment.

  8. The only way you can replace a sensor without removing the bumper is if the sensors unplug from the wiring loom, most kits have wires that go all the way to the control unit and require the bumper to be removed though.

I used this guide as i had a problem with one of my sensors also...

    http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Rear_Bumper_Removal

It was cheaper for me to get a whole new Cisbo kit of ebay for the grand total of £17.

  9. Im going for a 106 me thinks. If my feet will go on the pedals

Mine didnt, i hated driving our 1997 106 XSi we had, rubbish build quality also.

If you can find one a Corsa with the 1.5TD Izusu engine is a good choice. 67bhp stock but with an induction kit and bleed valve you can see 80-90bhp and still 50+mpg
