Hey B16REE,
If you want a dremmel-free alternative see below:
Firstly this is the light i am working with:
you will need to chop the wires on the rear of the light after the connector (see below):
following that, change the light (shown disconnected) to a red bulb and connect the wires from the bulb to the ones powering your existing foglight.
Failing that you could buy a UK cluster with bulbs (from Nissan for approx £60) and do exactly the same! (which is what i've done)

I think this car was on ebay nov 29 2008
possible seller was tammy not tommy
http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/tammy_xx
title of the post was (Is this ad for real ) no pics

Thanks guys
for reminding me of that day,
paint and match was by far the easy bit,
all you need is the paint code L40 and any spray shop can mix it
matching is down to the sprayer/bodyshop skill.
for pro advice you may phone paul coombs of THAME crash repair centre they did the repair & will remember it well. 01844 212798
good luck with your purchase
ps zeds look good in all colours.

Hi nick
good spot yes it was the love of my life,
being driven to or from work by the wife. :
hi stew Interlagos Fire yes with karen at wheel we hope to make the hoon this year with the zed this time!
-
That colour is far too common...
must do more mods, good to see us interlagos fire owners are so good looking
-
*ALSO*
there is a hairline crack in one of my arch mouldings/extensions so the bodyshop are trying to source one from the US as they are available for the latest US Nisimo version. if they are successful then i'll get the details for you guys

Hey Ricky - good to see the car is back
We both love that colour - hmm wonder how much a respray costs? my white beetle would look like in that colour - whats the paint code for it?
You did some excellent driving in the Civic on the Hoon matey - hope your going to the next one and also the Wales run?
Better get my camera ready to take some more pics of it! (the Zed that is!)
Code is L40 mate i've still got 1L if you want to try your more than welcome. (may need watering down)
Nice to see a decent repair job!How are those arch lips done??
plastic mouldings, approx 1.5-2mm thick. rivited & glued to wings
pics below
also sarnie they are fitted by the dealer
the full type G kit consists of:
1, Flared wheel arches
2, Rare Rays
3, Special colour interior
The car is supplied as a standard ST JDM = GT UK version. without cruise, to the dealer. and they fit the above parts to make it into the type G.
One of 2 in the UK. :-)
Ricky you should have ordered your paint from Finishmaster in the States. I bought a half coke can sized ammount for just under £200 so I could paint my spoiler and had a touch up pen for any stone chips.
Hi Greg - ordering paint from there sounds a bit expensive, the paint is available from Morelli's UK @ £37.94 per litre
Pics
hope that helps,
Ricky

Thanks for comments, good to be back!
hopefully up for a weekend in Bala next year & a week in Scotland, time and funds permitting.
thanks again,
Ricky

Looks really good mate, what wheels are they your running?
Is that a std Z colour, looks fantastic!
"The Fairlady Z version ST type G features are 19-inches rear tires (F 245-40R18, R 265-35R19), front & rear fender moldings (+25mm), RAYS alloy wheels, and exclusive interior leather color. "
Big Phil has priced these for someone else before (they are VERY expensive)
Looks great! Paint match OK?This is one of the reasons for the delay as a special tinter was required, but the match is excellent - well worth the wait
-
For those of you that didn't get to see the G at the Hoon & had to put up with us in the Civic, this is the damage that happened on the way. Which unfortunately meant the car was out of action for a little while
Picked up on friday, after a long time waiting and a few modifications the Z is back
Extras are:
Nismo Style V2 Spoiler
Clear front reflectors
Z badges
Hope you like it!
Ricky

Hi guys,
had a great weekend (after such a sh1t start!) thanks to Stew Jayne and the rest of the team for a great drive and barbeque.
On the subject of next years vehicle, to give you datsun boys a chance i will be bringing my brothers honda jazz!!, Only joking, hopefully my zed with maybe a few additions to it.
Must say my fuel economy was good, up until the run to Kinlochewe, where keeping up with you guys took it down to 29mpg leaving me just enough fuel to make it back to my digs!
-
Hi guys
we had to return home for new car because an hgv took the nose off the z
at a service station on the m6 we are both fine & will be on the road with in the hour z is in the body shop please start a list of mods for them to do while she's in.
sorry no type g this year more of seeing nessie, unless PURE will turn up.

Hey, thanks to the meet organisers! especially Beavis
Great to meet you all. glad people like the Type G
just to set it straight the paint is Interlagos Fire
http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Fairlady ... _ST_Type_G
Looking at the pics in his 'welcome' message posts at the tail end of last year the car had a standard square JDM surround on.For JDM plates try www.craigsplates.com
the front number plate surround is standard the bottom of the plate used to hang until i got the smaller plate (G 7YPE)
The rear is standard JDM also. just all characters on one line
