Very nice mate, always a big fan of the black zeds
Strosek rear would look good!
Is that the HKS Hi Power you have?
-
No problem, I will have a look tomorrow and see what I have.
Just need to make sure I have one for replacing in the car when I sell it. But as long as I ahve both then you are welcome to the spare one.
If I remember correctly there is still a bit of glue left on the inside, but should be easy to remove that. The only thing is the lid colour, I think it is a shade lighter like the Nurrish ones. I bought my one that matches a long time ago off of an old member, but not sure how he obtained it.
Like I said you are welcome to it if I can find it, just either pick it up or give me postage (I am near Enfield)
What install are you thinking of doing? If sat nav then have a look at the Nurrish ones as they are good! I have the Kenwood setup that lots of people were running on here 2-3 years ago, still a great piece of kit!
-
Think I have a spare one round my Mums in the cupboard, will have a look for you tomorrow if you like.
-
Ian obviously has first dibs on spacers, however if he doesnt take them I could be keen on all 4, just got to make sure no rubbing issues with my 19" Nismos and that they fit the bore correctly?
-
very nice tarmac!
Did they come like that or were they re-finished?
Think I am going to get some spacers then and then only drop it by 30mm when I find the right suspension set-up, been looking at the KW3 and the Blisten.
-
That does look sweet by the way webber!

Greddy Evo 2
one of my faves, but sooooo expensive right now.
Over£1000
it is true dual
Gaz Walker can get you one at a very good price, I know because I asked last week. Call Envy Perfomance
-
Gunmetal Nismos huh Tarmac, interesting. I was thingking of getting mine re-finished in gunmetal. Any pics?

reading the US site, there is a whole thread just dedictated to the LGMT4 and there are some guys on there that are running 18\19" with 15\20\25 spacers and they look so good. One guys said he did roll the fenders, but his car looks like it is sitting so low.
-
Been looking at the US site and the guys that have them have a really aggresive stance, I love the look.
Only problem is I can find a definate answer as to whether there would be any issues or not with this.
Was thinking 20 at the front and 25 at the rear. But may go less if there will be problems.
I am at normal ride height at the moment, but I am looking out for a full suspension set-up in the not to distant future and will drop it ever so slightly. Will I have rubbing issues, as I dont really want to roll the arches.
If I went with 15F\20R would this be safer?
I just want to create that really aggresive look.
Thoughts, experiences and pics welcome
And I have done a forum search already and it didnt come up with much............

cheers biscuit
hey Dan, no points taken, you didnt come across as bashing, Adam already stated earlier in the thread that the spacer did nothing, but that the ones he sells have valves for gauges.
I am staying N\A for the time being, but I have been looking at the old 2006 GT-S and thinking that it is a shame that just the one was built
-
Cheers mate
Well I might invest in the AAM one from Adam then, I did email him about it the other day. If anything it gives much better fuel consumption, so you will make your money back after 2 tanks maybe
Gauges hmmm, I have been looking for an excuse to get a carbon pillar cluster, what sort of gauges could you run from the throttle body? (sorry not that technically minded as most fo you)
New carbon throttle sounds nice, looking forward to seeing that, you think it will give gains? I ahve been deliberating over the Kinetix V5 plenum, or a motordyne plenum spacer, seems to be a split opinion on these like most parts.
Just been reading through this as I had been looking at the AAM one on Z1 and was thinking of investing. After reading this I am getting that the general overall feeling was that these were useless, unless you got the AAM one that Adam had.
I know a couple of you guys have since bought and ran these, Mark, Biscuit, any further thoughts?
I guess if they do save on petrol then they are worth the investment?
Been reading about performance throttle bodies on the uank sites, like the helix one and the 350evo one, are these any better for power\torq gains?
i don't know is the easiest answer as i haven't fitted it yet, mine will go on with the carbon plenum when it arrives. and any changes can't be pinpointed as it will be mapped at the same time, so you wouldn't know whats doing it?
the reason the z1 auto one is good is because you can run guages from them thats why they have the valves off the top.
the one i have is rifled inside, and for £20 worst case senario is all its done is add to the red engine bling i already have.

Just a feeler really to see if anyone has any bits, I have been through a lot of the for sale section, but most old adverts are now sold.
I have been looking at a few new bits, mainly air flow, but thought it would be worth seeing if anyone was getting rid or had any bits hanging around.
Any of the following would be of interest
Exhaust: Nismo, Greddy, HKS, Injen, Tanabe, 5Zigen or something similar, would love true dual
High Flow Cats: Kinetix \ Berks or similar
Motordyne Spacer 5/16
PM me if you have something that might be of interest.
Cheers
Glenn

I really want this front end soon, with the nismo sides, havent decided on rear and spoiler yet, but probably going to go full V2 kit.
Is it a genuine Nismo or a good shine one?
Mind me asking what it set you back, total with fitting and paint?

Great deal, shame mine is Blade

Basically, your talking about £1000 all in to have a good time, about right?

I keep thinking about this myself, toying with the idea of going to Japan for a holiday this year and would love to bring things back.
Wondering if I would get stung by customms though and how easy it would be to bring larger parts home without getting caught or getting it damaged!
I guess smaller bits like Induction kits, small engine parts like spacers etc would be good for you to keep an eye out for!
-
hmmm maybe a non-bank holiday weekend would be better if there are going to be loads of cars there and the hoels are booked out?
Just a thought, but happy to do whatever
-
where did you get this done sketch?
Was it just a dyno?
I am guessing that 240 was at the hubs so that sounds like what a 276bhp early Zed like mine should be putting out at the wheels.
With all those bits you should be alot higher than that.
I know some on here that have had low figures then gone to Abbey for a tune and re-map\uprev and then ran good numbers so I would suggest getting down there for that

I like the look of the filter placement on these.
Does anyone make anything similar for the early Zed's, where the filter is placed there instead of lower down in the grille?
This looks like the best option for the car, as you arent getting heatsoak from the engine and you also dont have to worry about Hydrolock.
Any ideas for early Zeds?
-
Sounds good Adrian, they are such good value for money then against other systems!
I had been agonising over the HKS Hi Power, but I just dont feel that I can justify the cost, no matter how rare and exclusive they are in the UK and how sweet they sound, it just doesnt seem worth the money!
-
haha if I change my mind I will surely let you know!
Go drop in filter apexi, hks or the like you'll hear a difference in sound... until you get an ugraded exhaust that ismmm can I buy that system of you
Air Induction, fitting advice

Hey guys, just looking for a bit of thought on this, I am pretty useless technically so wanted to ask the guys in the know.
I have the below CAI and I am looking to either fit it myself this weekend or get it fitted.
Only thing I am worried about in the picture is that if I have it fitted like that, I run the risk of Hydrolocking, so what I ahve though about is, instead of fitting the final section of the pipe, setting the second part of the pip[e at a different angle (effectively twisting if a bit) and fitting the filter there, so that the filter sits just above the bumper bar. This way it will not run the risk of any hydro lock, and it is not in the engine bay for heatsoak.
Only thing I am not sure about is, in that position, will I still get good airflow to the filter?
I am thinking of having it fitted like the Injen in the pic below.
How Alex had it
How I am thinking of having it sit, obviously only the one side
