  1. Lol, I'm starting to think I should leave well alone this time round as I've always had the modding bug with my previous cars and it's usually caused me more tears than joy. My mr2 is a highly modded beast running slightly over 500bhp and that has caused me endless woes. The only thing I'll be changing on the Zed will be cosmetics. My new motto is "If at first you don't succeed, fix it back the way it was and never ever ever fiddle about with it again" Next mod will be some shiney new wheels I love this car!
  2. Thanks for the welcome guys. I found a guide on this forum for how to reset the ecu and it's been fine ever since Thanks guys!
  3. Hi guys I'm new to the forum and only picked my first Zed up last week but was wondering if you could help me out. I fitted a nismo induction kit yesterday and forgot to connect the MAF meter up at the end and started the engine. It stalled after a couple of seconds. After a few times starting the engine again I realised I hadn't connected this little plug up which is located just before the filter part of the induction at the front of the car which I think is the MAF meter. I connected it up and the car drove fine but the engine warnign light was on as well as the SLIP light of the Traction control system and the TCS would not function. After a bit of driving and restarting he engine the SLIP light went off and the TCS returned to normal but the engine warning light remained on althought the car felt fine. I had to get some food and upon starting the engine again it had trouble idling and the revs would waver between 400 and 800. The car is not difficult to drive as the revs waver and it's hard to rev past 2k. Also the car is stuttering and hesitating. Is my maf meter faulty? Is it possible to reset my ecu to see if that fixes it? I'm told by someone else that starting the engine with the MAF meter disconnected will activate the EML. How do I get it back to normal without having to visit my local nissan dealer (too painful to bear!) Thanks guys and I look forward to gettig to know you all. It's a shame my first post is about a problem
