  1. Hi there, Firstly, the show was advertised in the Wigan Evening Post, Banzai and also the Bolton Evening News - as well as on the other car enthusiast magazine websites. Sadly, I only had access to an A4 printer so those were printed off, laminated and placed at the entrance at both ends and along the drive to the venue. Everything for this show has come out of my pocket, including the Public Liability Insurance so I hope you can appreciate that for a first year, I couldn't get everything spot on - particularly difficult for a 20 year old. I was refused the right to place posters around the Aspull area where people attending the show would be passing through, so obviously that caused a lot of problems... Plus I wasn't allowed to put the signs up before the day, so had to get there for 6am to put the signs up on for the day. It seemed as though there were many people who didn't want this day to go ahead due to the barriers that were placed in my way but thankfully it did and the response has been positive despite a few comments. With regards to K&M, they requested to be placed on the very end due to the low pressure of their bass van as they have had instances in the past where they have shattered windows. I do appreciate the feedback though and I assure you my response is not at all bitter, but merely trying to enlighten you to the issues I faced this year. Any feedback is greatly received, however, hopefully you'll understand the predicament I was put in for this show. All the best and hopefully you will be able to raise enough interest to have your own stand next year, as it would be great to have you along. Kind regards, Jamie
  2. Hey there everyone, Well, from the repsoneses on initial arrival this morning and upon departure this afternoon, it seems everyone wants a repetition next year as an annual event. This was the first Japan North Event and as I say, from what was said to me, it shall not be the last. I will post up a link in due course to images of the event and the excellent turn that took place. All the best, Jamie Rigby Japan North Event Organiser.
  3. Hi there all, When you make your way to the show tomorrow, please be aware that there are a few other shows on called Haigh Show, around the area that we are having ours. Please look for the Japan North Logo below: If you do not see this, then the sign you have seen is not for the car show. Also, Haigh Hall have a Sunday Carvery, which is on until 4pm tomorrow, so you could always book onto that tomorrow for some tea before leaving if you wished. All the best and I look forward to meeting you... Best regards, Jamie

  5. Good afternoon everyone, PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS... Here are the rules and regulations for the day - if these are adhered to, the event will go brilliantly and no doubt we won't be refused the opportunity to use this venue again next year! Firstly... Requirements You will be required to have in your windscren on arrival: 1. Club Name 2. Forum Name 3. Registration Plate Number Failure to have these details will result in the vehicle not being able to enter the event area for display on your club stand. Times: Entry to the venue for owners clubs and companies will begin at 07:30AM and end at 09:30AM. Cars after this time will not be able to access the stands. This is according to Haigh Hall Country Park's Health & Safety, as the venue is open to the public and so we must gather and arrange all cars by 09:30AM in preparation for opening. The event will officially be open from 10:00AM to the public and this is when all cars will be in situe by. The event will be closing at 16:30 and all cars MUST be cleared by 18:00. Rubbish: Basically, I have been told that if any rubbish is left at the end of the day, it will be picked by the park rangers and there WILL BE A CHARGE FOR THIS. PLEASE collect ALL your rubbish, it's not a large favour to ask and this all contributes to being able to use the venue next time around. If rubbish is left, the charge incurred will have to be passed onto your club. Marshals: Marshals will be located at the entrance to Haigh Country Park, along the driveway to Haigh Hall and at the event site to control and assist with parking of exhibition vehicles. Please conform to their directions. Drivers are asked not to exceed 10MPH whilst you are within the grounds of Haigh Hall. On arrival at the event site, your vehcile will be checked off from a list, according to your FORUM NAME, CLUB NAME AND REGISTRATION PLATE NUMBER. The Day: Once parked and arranged suitably, drivers are asked not to move their vehicle again until the close of the event at 16:30. Should there be a need for a vehicle to be moved during the event, you MUST seek the assistance of one of the event marshals. Should you refuse to wait for assistance prior to moving the vehicle, a signature will be required on the Health and Safety Waiver Form and the matter reported to Event Control, along with your vehicle details. Everyone should be aware of Health & Safety issues and bring any concerns to the attention of the event organisers, which may be found at the Lexus Owners Club stand and also wearing high visibility vests. At the end of the day, the event marshals will supervise the orderly exit of exhibitors from Haigh Hall Country Park. Please note: All members that have voiced interest in attending the day have been compiled into a list. This list will be passed onto event marshals, who will ensure that only cars belonging to members of the list may enter the venue for display on their club stand. Above all, have a safe and enjoyable day and thank you for attending our first Japan North Car Event! Here's to many more... Regards, Jamie
  6. Hey there everyone, Admittedly, the event was arranged with very short notice so is understandable. As for a club stand, you will be invited next year providing all goes well, so there's a little bit of notice for you All the best...... Jamie
  7. Good morning everyone, I require your final list of attendees please. All places for this event have now been allocated and invitations have now closed. I will however accept any requests for attendance for those that have said "maybe" but will need to know ASAP, for ground allocation purposes. The Japan North event is taking place on Sunday 19th August at Haigh Hall in Wigan. Best regards, Jamie
  8. Good morning everyone, Just thought I would stop by to see if there is any more interest or developments from this club? Hope all is well..... Thanks, Jamie
  9. You're two different clubs, therefore you deserve to seperate stands. However, if you wish to merge you may do so. Jamie
  10. You're all very welcome to attend If you know of any 350Z owners that are not present on the forum, please do let them know about the event. Thanks for your interest and your names have been added to the main list, so keep an eye for updates on attendees etc. - it's ever growing Also, it would be very helpful if you have a club banner, as I can now let you know that Banzai Magazine may be in attendance. This is to be confirmed, but my discussions with the Editor, Joe, would suggest so Many thanks, Jamie
  11. Hi there everyone, I would like to make you all aware of a car show that is happening in the North West on Sunday 19th August 2007. The event is being held at HAIGH HALL in the main grounds in front of the hall, so there is plenty of room. I would like to invite your club and members to attend and pop your cars on your stand. Bit of a socialising day with what's looking like some interesting motors in attendance. You can find out more information and the latest info here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ ... opic=42784 If you would like to attend please reply in this topic and I will add your names, along with your club to the main list. The more the merrier! The day will be completely free to attend. Even if you don't want to put your car in the show area, you can always come along for the day and have a look around the various cars that will be here - again, no entrance fee Several companies will also be making an appearance, including specialised Japanese tuning companies Haigh Hall is located in Wigan, post code: WN2 1PE Most shows are held down South, either in Northants or at Silverstone, so for a change, we're bringing one up here! Any questions, please feel free to ask. All the best, Jamie
