  1. Ignore the last post.

Don't bother with In Car Tec. They want £63 + £3 delivery for the SWI-PS steering wheel adaptor!

I've ordered one of ebay USA for £25 delivered.

Why is this counrty such a rip off

    Bruce.

  2. I'm off over there in August and have the same idea.

I've found a few places that might be worth a visit.

    Performance Factory. http://www.performancefactory.com/main.html

This is located on the Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. They do quite a few tuning bits but not much else. I contacted a guy who works there via my350z.com. He's part of the local Orlando 350z owners club. Apparently they have regular meets.

    RZ Motoring. http://www.rzmotoring.com/

Located in Orlando and Tampa. Specialise in tuning and bodykits for various cars. They do have some nice bits for the 350z apparently.

    Zenclosures. http://stores.ebay.com/ZEnclosures

Located in Sarasota. Only really worth a visit if you are after sub enclosurs or door speaker pods.

I'm sure I've seen many other tuning specialists while in Orlando and Tampa before, but these are the only ones that I know of that specialise in 350z's.

    Bruce.

  3. Thanks for all the replies.

I contacted PAC Audio and they said that as long as the car has steering wheel controls the PAC-SWI-PS will work fine. The reason its listed as 2006 onwards is because US models didn't have the steering wheel controls prior to this date.

They also mentioned that there is a company in the UK who supply PAC Audio products. I know a lot of owners here have bought there adaptors off of ebay USA. This is fine until something goes wrong or firmware upgrades are required. PAC Audio do not support any of their producs that are purchased via ebay.

The company is called In Car Tec. Here is a link to their website....

Gonna give them a call tomorrow and see how much the adaptors are.

    Bruce.

  4. I'm just about to order the two Pac Audio adaptors from ebayUSA required for installing an aftermarket head unit in the 350z. I know I need the PAC-ROEM-NIS2 for wiring up the headunit......

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAC-ROEM ... dZViewItem

but I'm unsure whether this is the correct steering wheel control adaptor......

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAC-SWI- ... dZViewItem

It does state its for a Pioneer headunit, which I have, but it states on the Pac Audio site that its for the 2006 350z. Is the wiring for the steering wheel different on the 06 model compared to my 04 model?

Has anyone used this adaptor on a pre 2006 model?

Don't want to order the wrong adaptor.

    Thanks,

    Bruce.

  5. SunsetZ - did you manage to sort out the members map and get yourself on there?

We're gonna be sorting out a local meet SOON

I put myself on the map last night. Look for the sunsetZ pic in Long Eaton.

Are you located in Edwinstowe? I travel through there on the way to see the in-laws in Tuxford.

I'll be up for a meet anytime. As soon as I get my car back that is!

    Bruce.

  6. Sunset - notice on the map loads of members around this area - Should be some good local meets in the summer :teeth:

Always up for a local meet. Did a few in the meganesport owners club. Good chance to discuss and compare cars.

Are there many members around Notts?

    Bruce.

  7. welcome mate :yahoo:

Good choice in colour  ...unbiased opinion.

Z badges, check Funkystyling or Ebay US

I've been looking around at the different Z badges. Still undecided on which ones to go for. I like the Z badge with the black background for the fron and maybe the satin Z badge for the rear.

I'll make my mind up once I get the car back.

    Bruce.

  8. Welcome dude

A 56 plate car was an 'old' car??? You must of lost loads on that?

    Lost £1000 in 6 months.

Bought it off the internet for £14,500 last September brand new direct from Renault. Nissan offered me £13,500 trade in against the 350z. Quite happy with that.

Got the megane £5,000 less than the dealers price new. They're a real bargain really. £20,000 motor for £14,500.

I spent £500 on it mind getting it remapped.

Bit sad to see it go really, but I've always wanted a 350z and couldn't really turn down a good deal.

    Bruce.

  9. Hi there.

Had my Z just over three weeks now, although its been at the dealers the past two weeks geting faults sorted. Cant wait to get it back again, I'm missing it already.

I had a Renaultsport Megane 225 before so its been a bit different getting behind the wheel of a rear wheel drive car.

Here are a few pics I managed to get before it went back to the dealers....

Probably going to need some advice over the next few months once I get the Z back. I'm looking at doing the following for starters.....

Replace Bose headunit with my Pioneer Bluetooth and install amp and sub.

    Induction Kit.

    Grounding Kit.

    Replacement badges.

    Cheers,

    Bruce.
