  1. These are now sold

Having sold my Z I am now selling the aftermarket wheels I had fitted. These are 19" Volk GT-V's, front 8.5 and rear 9.5, +23 and +24 offset, wheels come with Rays blue wheel nuts.

The inserts were originally chrome which does not stand up well to the British winter, I have had them stripped and powdercoated in black gloss. The wheels have been refurbished and are a brushed aluminium finish. They have been unused since I had them done and they are absolutely mint in a brand spanking new condition!

The tyres are Falken 452s 245/35 ZR19 fronts and 275/35 ZR19 at the back. These are the best size for 19" tyres on the Z. They have only been used for a few thousand miles and have masses of tread left on them.

I am asking for £1000 - no offers. I am based in South East London for pickup.

  2. My car is currently up for sale and I am selling my wheels separately.

These are 19" Volk GT-V's, front 8.5 and rear 9.5, +23 and +24 offset, wheels come with Rays blue wheel nuts.

The tyres are Falken 452s 245/35 ZR19 fronts and 275/55 ZR19 at the back. These are the best size for 19" tyres on the Z. They have only been used for a few thousand miles and have masses of tread left on them.

The GT-Vs inner wheels are in perfect condition having all been refurbished recently and cleaned since the close up photos!. The chrome 'spokes' are peeling in some places. I drove on them one winter and the salt got at them!! Close up you can see where the chrome has come away in some places. I had a quote of £40 per wheel to have the spokes stripped and painted black which I was going to do to sell them. However I have decided to leave it to the buyer to decide what colour to have them and reduced the price accordingly.

The pictures below also show them on my car to give an idea of how they sit and a close up of the worst part of the chrome.

I am asking for £1000 plus carriage, I am based in South London.

  3. REDUCED - WILL ACCEPT £12k

Having bought myself a Maserati I very reluctantly have to sell my Z - I would love to keep both but can't!!

I bought this car from an importer in June 2007 as I found it impossible to find a used black roadster in excellent condition in the UK. I have all the import paperwork available.

The car is still in fantastic condition, the interior is virtually as new and the exterior is in first class condition too.

The car has only done just under 20k miles as I only drove it when dry and sunny! It has also been kept in a garage since I owned it.

Speedo registered in km in Japan but on import was converted to miles giving the speedo readings below:-

    June 2007 12536 km (7835 miles)

    April 2008 16866 (12165 miles)

    October 2008 20070 (15369 miles)

    October 2009 24298 (19597 miles)

    April 2010 24573 (19872 miles)

The actual miles covered will be the reading minus 4701 for future reference!.

I have had it serviced to Nissan specification at an independent garage, the service book is available. The tyres all have loads of wear left on them.

I have included my Pioneer Avic X1R SatNav with flip up screen/DVD/CD/MP3/Radio with updated map disk which cost over £1,500 and is much better than the Maserati built in SatNav but I can't fit the Avic in! The Avic goes for £300 on ebay.

The roof retracts perfectly within 20 seconds, the leather seats are both electronically adjustable and everything works perfectly. Although I have never gone over the speed limit I understand that the light body combined with a 6 cylinder 3.5 engine means it goes like a rocket!

The car can be viewed in the London SE25 area.

NOW REDUCED - WILL ACCEPT £12k

  4. I am selling my Z so have taken off various bits to sell separately. This is my K1 exhaust which I bought from Big Phil at ESR for £450 which has been on the car for about 6k miles. My local garage fitted it with no problems. Please note that the Y pipe is included.

I've polished up the bits that can be seen which are in excellent condition, the marks on the rest of the system are surface only and can easily be cleaned with some very fine steel wool and stainless steel cleaner, i just don't have the patience! For those who've not heard the K1 it has a fantastic sound which really turns heads! I used it with bungs in which are currently in place. I would prefer pick up in South London or I could meet and deliver within the M25

NOW REDUCED TO £200 - A BARGAIN FOR THIS MUCH FUN!!!

  5. Hi Thanks for the link. I rang autolocksmiths and someone is coming round tomorrow. Fortunately as the car is an import I have a separate alarm/immobiliser fitted (which I do have a spare for) so the key doesn't need that - was quoted £130 which although is £130 more than necessary will be much less than a stealer!

  6. :bang:

Was due to put my Z up for sale next week - but disaster! My keys were in a coat that went missing last week - and I haven't got a spare! Yes I know - but I never got round to getting a second cut. The car is in the garage and I can get in as it is an import and I have a spare alarm fob but I obviously can't start it.

Not sure what to do - help!

  7. Well that is the next big question.

They have got Falken 452s on them which have only done about 3000 miles. 275/35 on rear and 245/35 on front - 19" all in excellent condition. Was thinking about £1500 with the wheels rechromed but obviously rechroming is out of the window now. Powder black gloss seems to be popular from the comments above - but not really sure what I should be asking for.

  8. As your in South London I can highly recommend Wicked Wheels in Crawley 01293 527 733. Not many places will work with split rims but they did a great job of my GT-S's

Love the all matt black volks but as a split I think they look better as a two-tone. They can also re chrome the lips but personally for a bit of longevity I would go for a harder wearing finish.

The guys at WW should be able to give you an idea, think your looking at about £65 to £75 a wheel for a refurb

Thanks for that  I will give them a call tomorrow, I would prefer the 'two tone' effect. They definitely need to be harder wearing, I take them off for the winter but that still didn't prevent the chrome flaking off. The guys at the platers were very dismissive of the 'cheap Jap chroming' saying that it never lasts long - wish I'd known that when i bought them!!

  9. I have taken my Volk GTVs off as I am selling my car and want to sell them separately. Unfortunately the chrome is beginning to flake off on parts of some of the inserts. I took them in to a chrome replater today to be told that it would cost up to £300 per insert to have re-chromed! When I got off the floor the guy explained that chroming aluminium is a very difficult chroming process with loads of prep time needed. This has subsequently been backed up by another replater. Although the wheels with tyres are worth a few bob it will be pointless spending that much on them.

Basically I have two alternatives sell them as they are (you have to look closely to see the damage but I wouldn't spend big money wth the chrome flaking off) or have the insert stripped and powder coated in a matt or gloss black, which I don't think will have the same value.

    Any thoughts comments????

  10. With all the poor weather I haven't driven my 05 JDM Roadster for a couple of weeks. Went to start it last night as was taking it in for a service today. NOTHING - TOTALLY DEAD! Went to get my jump leads out of the boot - but dead battery meant I couldn't get in - AAARRRRGGGHHHH!:rant::rant:

Eventually managed to borrow some leads and got the engine to turn over quite briskly - tried this for ages but the engine didn't catch once. Seems like the immobiliser may be working as it has always started immediately.

Does this happen when the battery goes completely dead? Is there some way I can reset the immobiliser if that is the cause - any suggestions gratefully received.

    Thanks

  11. Thanks gmmp, a good summing up!! I'm going to hang on and try to sell it privately then buy a replacement without the complication of px - the more I get out of the px the less I will get off the new car - that's a win win for the dealer and a lose lose for me. Looking at the comments and pricing I reckon doing it that way will have an overall approx gain of £4k (£2k extra for my car and £2k off what I am after).

Thanks everyone for helping me make my mind up!!!
