  1. A full set (4) of 17" allow wheels that came from my Nissan 350z.

    They are in good condition apart from two slight kerbing marks.

    I sold the car last summer with another set of wheels so these are now surplus to requirements and are taking up vital room in my garage.

    The tyres are:

    Front- 2 x Bridgstone GR8000 225/50/17 one 4.2mm and the other is 4.4mm tread

    Rear- 2 x Kumho Ecsta's KH11 235/50/17 both 5mm tread

    Sorry but I can't sell the wheels separately.

    Due to the size of the wheels, pick up would be preferable but I can deliver to within a 30 mile radius but you would have to pick up the fuel tab which we could arrange or alternatively you could arrange your own courier.

    I'm asking £300 ono

  2. I received this email from someone on Ebay.

    "The PCD may match the vehicles you noted, but you would also need to check the centre bore size, which should be noted on the alloy inside, CB or ET. Jeeps and Voyagers need 71.5 and anything smaller than this won't fit."

    Any comments?

  3. I'm just about to advertise my 17" 350z wheels/tyres that have been sitting around in my lock up for some time.

    I'd like to know what other cars the wheel configuration will fit? I'm sure I read on here some time ago they also fit BMW's but I can't find the post.

    Also do they fit all Nissan's or just the 350z?

  4. I have just had my Ascari Penta wheels refurbished again. I need to reattach the studs to the wheels. last time I used some tiger seal that someone recommended but it's expensive and I only need a small amount and you need to chuck the tube out after use so most of it will be wasted.

    Are there other alternatives I could use? I was thinking about normal silicon but I read it may cause an adverse chemical reaction to the wheels. What about no nails?

    When I say studs I mean the 20 small hex bolts that go round the rim to imitate that it's a split rim.

  5. I bought a new battery today from Halfrauds but the one stated on their guidance books (HB005) was a different size to my old one and the pegs were larger meaning I would have to change the terminals leads to suit. I also would have struggled trying to get it to fit in the battery tray. I found one the exact same size as my old one but the amp hours were only 330 as opposed to the one I'm told I should use which is 480. However my old battery was only 300ah and it worked fine for about 3 years. Would it make much difference?

    I'm wondering if the battery is different for JDM's as the battery tray on mine would struggle to fit Halfrauds recommended one.

  6. Thanks guys happy days indeed!

    By the way I did do a search you know but nothing came up when i searched 'tax'!!!!!

    I don't suppose I can claim it back retrospectively :D

  7. I've found something quite interesting regarding car tax in the DVLA web page.

    I was told a few months ago that any car imported in to the country before a certain date in 05/06 (can't remember which) qualifies for something like £190 tax pa. My JDM car was imported in July 2006 but I've been paying about £400 pa for tax. However when I checked in the DVLA website giving my registration details it state's my cars tax should only be £245 pa!

    Have DVLA made a mistake or have I been over paying?

  8. Finally Decided to Sell My JDM 350z. Here's What's on Offer:

    * 20" New Ascari Penta Alloy Wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Tyres (275 x 35 Rear and 245 x35 Front)

    * Full Service History

    * Mot April 2011

    * AEM Cold Air Induction Kit

    * Brembo Brakes With EBC Grooved Discs and Redstuff Pads

    * Category One Toad Alarm & Immobiliser (2 keys and fobs)

    * Stainless Steel Exhaust with Two Very Large Outlet Ports (I've no idea which make sorry)

    It is in very good condition and I’ve looked after it well but hardly ever gets used as I’m away most of the week so use an older car for motorway miles.

    I've really no idea how much to ask but I'm open to offers if thats allowed?

  9. Finally have to grow up and sell my 350z for a family diesel. Where's the best place to get an idea of how much I should ask for? I'm told the glass's guide is no longer any good and neither is parkers.

    Any advice would be appreated.

  10. I think I have a dodgy battery as I'm having problems starting my car in the morning, particularly after a cold night. This morning I had to bump start it. However during the day it normally starts first time.

    I’ve just took some readings and the read 12.79 volts when engine not running and 14.69 volts when running. Are these readings okay?

  11. I had my Ascari Penta alloys refurbished and I need to replace the bolts that surround the rim of the wheel. The original bolts were a plastic coated crappy type so I want to have stailnless steel one's as replacements. I got one as a sample from a local alloy wheel shop but they want 50p each for them and I need 80! I'm told I should be able to buy them for a fraction of that on the web.

    I'm not entirely sure about what size to ask for. The sample bolt I have has the torx fixing and I've drawn a rather crude drawing as a PDF which I've attached. I think the bolt size is an M6 but as I said I'm not sure.

    Does anyone know what size to ask for and where I could purchase these please? I'd attach a photo but it's taken on my mobile phone and is very poor quality.
