  1. Poor, You get what you pay for, also with some cheap ones there is a danger of the induction kit sucking up water into the engine. You don't want that

Thought as much, its not really about the money, I'm just a bit of an EBAY freak, where should I be looking then? I've seen Pipercross mentioned...

I do want it to sound cool, B) as i've already read that power gains are cancelled out

  2. I had loads of issues with my BT router and wireless hubs and stuff, crap signal, or my PC wouldn't see the router etc etc, now I use Homeplugs, its like having a wired 85MB network around your house, and you effectively have an outlet in every plug socket, as it uses your electrical wiring, so always near your equipment.

Nobody can 'piggyback' on that! :)

and what makes you think your electrical wiring is not connected to the property next door? :p:teeth:

Just teasing..... the signals rarely extend beyond your electricity meter, but thats not to say they couldnt, and all homeplug stuff uses 56bit DES encryption (the better products in the range use 128bit AES which is equivalent to banking standard)

Because I live on the moon... :teeth:

My point being there are less potential problems with homeplugs than wireless networks, everything can be 'hacked' at some level, luckily my direct neighbours are old folks so don't know what the Internet is. ;)

Welcome and the best colour as well

Is that an 05 model on an 06 plate?

It is, and as Sarnie already correctly identified :)

I took some heavy negative equity into the Z deal from my old car, so that was the only way I could get into one really, for 4.5k miles I saved myself £5K so a result really! :)

  4. I really rate the X-trail, no fuss, just bags of ability. B)

I had a jeep before that, christ that was a pain in the a*se!

I have a bike for the nice sunny days too, a Yamaha Warrior, its a bit of a beast, 1700cc cruiser, about 110lbs of torque at the back wheel at 2000rpm, and it only weighs about a 5th of the 350, but doesn't keep you dry of course, no fairings or roof, and Mr Plod thinks its a bit noisy! :teeth:

  5. The yellow is certainly a head turner! Looks pretty cool Sarnie, I tend to be a bit 'mainstream' rather than 'extreme' with my colour choices! :)

Looking around the site there are certainly a number of things to mod, I'll probably look for some 'easy' power gains first, without too much spanner chucking involved!

I've been reading the thread about ICE and I agree that the Bose system is a little dissapointing, especially after the way the dealer pitched its quality.

I had a pretty good Alpine rig in my last motor, but there isn't much room in this one, I'll maybe swap out the sub for my Alpine, if it fits.

I'm sure i'll be tapping you guys for knowledge in the other threads!

Again its good to meet you all! :D

  6. Good to meet you guys!

I've posted a couple of quick (slightly crap) pics as requested! ;)

I'm not sure about your mod suggestion Lugger, it would mean less time for me to drive it! :)

I like the black, the other colour I would have gone is the metallic grey, mine came with the orange seats, which goes pretty well with the black I reckon.
