  1. I thought the HU was aftermarket but I didn't think the Sat Nav was....

There are some things I need to find out about it (one of them being what does "sports exhaust" mean...Nismo??).

It would be straight cash so what do you think is a fair price....23/23.5? :headhurt:

Just check everything out and anything you're not even slightly happy with highlight to them and reduce the cost of correction (plus a bit! ;) ) into the calculation. Then pay what you're happy with - does that include a warranty?

I would assume a UK 05 car would still have warranty....need to check if any mods have voided it in any way though.

  3. I am hopefully going to look at a UK 05 Z over the weekend.

I notice from the pics that it has been de-badged - what are the implications of this....i.e. would it of required a respray etc?

At the risk of being shot for asking a question you peps have been asked hundreds of times - anything specific I should be asking?

    Brief rundown:

    Black

    2005 GT Pack

    17,000 miles

    Nismo Kit

    19" Nismo Alloys

    Sat Nav

    DVD

    Parking Sensor

    £25k

Obviously hopeful of knocking that price down if I take a fancy to it.

  4. I didn't think it was a bad price considering the options added:

New on an 05 would of been a base price (with GT pack) of around 28k then the options on top:

    19" Nismo wheels - 2k

    Nismo body kit - 2.5k

    Sat Nav - 1k

In all I would think buying new would of been around the 34k mark - 9k drop in a year and a half.

I was kinda thinking that it has now gone past it's mass depreciation from new so shouldn't now lose too much more :)

  5. I've been scanning around daily for possible candidates and this one caught my eye:

05 Kuro Black, 17,000 miles, 2 owners, Full main dealer service history, Satellite Navigation, Black Leather, Automatic climate control, Electric Seats, Front Loading CD Player, Privacy Glass, Sport Seats, Sports Exhaust, UK Car, Xenon Headlamps, Cruise control, DVD, Heated seats, Limited slip differential. 19" Nismo Alloys, Full Nismo Bodykit.

    Price: £24995.00.

    Any thoughts on price etc?

I'm not particularly liking the "2 owners" and the mileage is about average but it seems fairly well loaded and is reasonably priced.

  6. Edited: 17" 205/40 R17

They recovered it on 22nd, and tell me now!! Now they're telling me I have to provide keys and wheels for it!!!:angry:

Bet the thing is covered in bloody finger print dusting and been pulled apart to look for clues etc.

At least the dust is proof that they have finger printed which means they're trying to catch the scum....

Sorry to hear all this by the way...

  7. You guys are doing a great job with this site IMO

If you're looking for specific information - start a thread. Everyone seemingly bends over backwards to help as much as they can.

If you're looking for straight technical specifications of the car - there are plenty of sites out there. At the end of the day, you're getting the benefit of other peoples experience and opinions as well as factual information if needed.

Any specific enthusiast sites are basically the same format and it's good to keep it friendly and sociable.

The moderators are not paid for this and it's free. As you're able to read these threads without joining, I'm confused as to why you would sign up in the first place?

Keep up the good work people - and I'll keep my account thank you :D

  8. As a suggestion - some other forums have a preiview of the first submitted post if you hover over it - so I've heard

Useful if the title is a bit vague to get the gist of the post before spending all of 2 seconds opening it :p

    Just a thought.

  9. hi, what extra info do you require.

    No pics as yet.

I am selling before the end of the month but id rather someone have it off here if they are interested rather than a dealer.

General condition - paint, stone chips, tyres etc

    18" Rays?

Any extras - factory options or after market stuff?

What general price range are you looking at?

Get those piccy's taken cos that's what sells a car :teeth:

  10. jakal.

you did not say if you would be using your z as an every day driver or for weekends,i use mine as much as i can and have done nearly 10.000 miles this year 99% of the time with the roof down wind rain or shine mostly shine,as for feeling naked my last two cars a westfield and cobra were far lower and i still did not feel naked, personal choice.

    max.

The Z would be used as an every day car.

I do feel that if I were to get a roadster that the roof would be up more times than down :(

I'll have a look at one Friday but I'm not sure I like the style of it with the roof up.

Feeling exposed is one of the things you live with if you have a soft top - as long as you don't actually drive naked which could be a bit chilly :cold:

  11. Thanks guys - you're all very helpful

I don't think it took much to swing me towards the coupe.

Off subject - ideally, if I bought new, I'd like the Nizmo kit and 19" wheels but it's a huge price for these 2 options (approx £2.6 and £2k respecticely). Are these actually worth it?

Presumably cheaper to fit the kit at a later date - is this relatively a simple process?

  12. Fight fight fight :boxing::teeth:

The power difference is not really that important to me....and as said it's very negligible. The coupe does have the lines but the roadster currently seems to be much rarer.

Resale value would probably be better on the roadster.

I also feel that my bright yellow days are over....black for me ;)

  13. I think you've said basically what I was thinking....I don't think I rate the roadster much on looks with the hood up and the coupe does seem to have more style.

I'll have a looksy at one Friday and see if I take a liking to it or not.

Thanks for your opinions guys

  14. Obviously this question is probably down to personal preference but interested in your opinions.

I've been considering a new Z but all I see around these parts are Coupes (usually Silver or Gunmetal). I've not actually seen a roadster on the road so can't decide which I like more. :headhurt:

Gonna take a trip to a garage on Friday (quite a few miles away) who's meant to have a sunset roadster to see if I like the style.

The roadster would certainly be a rare car around these parts and even rarer in black, but the coupe does seem to have a better "stance".

    What's your thoughts guys?

  15. Welcome Jackal.....

Yeah don't let your heart overrule your bank balance when it comes to buying one second hand. There are plenty of good deals out there.....

PS its Sunburnt Orange...... not RUST as Tim calls it (and he own's one! )

    Thanks Jacko

As long as it doesn't turn to rust!

My budget does seem to be increasing all the time  think I need to decide on a budget and stick with it.

Are there any paintwork issues on these beasts or has that been rectified?

  16. Thanks guys....I appreciate all your input and welcomes

Guess I was getting a bit too excited :)

Sarnie - the one you sold looked excellent.

I think you're all right that getting a standard (possibly 06/new) and putting the bodykit on after maybe the way to go. Looking into inports too and obviously GT4's

It would have to be black or possibly the orange ;)

I'm not a fan of the rusty orange at all. Black is by far the second best colour  Obviously Ultra Yellow is the best colour

    SideGT4-1.jpg

    :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Your car in black and possibly roadster version would be ideal :teeth:

How about this one then people - nice and a GT4 :yahoo:
