  1. I also had a Vectra 11 years ago ( Gsi 192 bhp), it was nothing compared to my 350z. I stay well clear of the Mondeo driver's (Mark 2), they always seem to think they have a point to prove. Undertaking and driving dangerously i've seen many a times, i just get out of their way when i see them in my rear view mirror.

  2. My four tyres are only 6 months old, and i live away from the city using a lot of country roads. Had my car for nearly three years now and even though i expect icy roads for the next few months it might be time for a change. I always drive slow this time of the year infact this morning i was was only doing about 20 mph at two seperate corners when loss of control happened.

  3. I was out driving early this morning and being very careful due to the icy winter roads and yet i still lost control a couple of times, this happened a few times to me last winter and i'm just not sure if want my 350 any more. Does this happen easier than other cars because of the back end being lighter than the front? I wonder if the 370z will have the same problem? What do i need to do buy a 4x4 or are there other coupe's that don't suffer as much? What about the TT quatro for example?

  4. Quite a few people here has had similar issues when they had their wheels aligned by some Joe Blogg. Having owned the Zed for 7 months i have come to realise that it's not like any road cars. Make sure the people who are going to work on your Zed knows the Zed. I know this comment is probably unhelpful but hopefully someone will be along who can tell u what to do next.

Where are u by the way?

South Nottinghamshire, i'm booked in at the Nottingham Wheel Alignment at Basford.

    Cheers. :)

  5. Been recently to Formula One for wheel alignment and drove off with the steering wheel **** eyed to the left when the car is straight, so i took it back to be re done and now it's **** eyed to the right. How can they be getting it wrong?

  6. I've just checked my vehicle health check dated 20/03/10 and all four tyres (Bridgestone RE050A) have the same tread left - inner 2, mid 3, and outer 2. Are all four nearly ready for replacing?

  7. I got it wrong, my tyres are the RE050a's. I'm going to change both of my fronts but still doing some research on which brands. Are the Falken 452's better than the Bridgstone RE050A's, if there the same i might go for the Falken's simply because they are cheaper.

  8. My original front tyres (RE040 Bridgestone) need replacing after 16,000 miles, what good replacement choices do i have for the same kind of distance? I never use my car for the track.

  9. My front spoiler has been scuffed and ChipsAway have tried their best to repair it but unfortunately i am not happy with the paint colour they used. My 350 is Twilight Grey ( k51 code i think) but ChipsAway don't have this code on their system presumably because the colour is fairly new, so the chap from ChipsAway picked a colour that looked the nearest one from a colour chart. Now fair enough at no extra cost he's agreed to come back to start again with a different colour of grey but his system still cannot find a perfect match, so what do i do, is my only choice to pick a match together using his colour charts?

  10. Where are you based? If you are down South (London/Reading area) that seems like a standard kind of price, but maybe a bit hight, I think you could get it down to about £65 inc VAT if haggle, but that seems a standard price to me - not their discounted price ;)

    Nottingham/Leicestershire area.

  11. Hi, What do you think to this quote for a kerbed alloy of mine and is there normally a problem with matching the colour?

    Quote:

"I’ve put together a new quote and emailed it to you separately.

Basically the discounted price will be £71 + VAT for the complete refurbishment of the wheel plus the stripping and refitting of the tyre with rebalance and new valve.

As we have not done a Rays forget wheel before, we would need to see it to make sure we can match the colour.

Please let me know if you have any questions."

    Many thanks

    Mark
