Hi all, Just sorted out my finances today and am now awaiting new funds to be deposited into my account. What do you think I'm going to do with £20K??? Test drove a sunset, GT with rays, alezan seats, plus sat nav and parking sensor at the weekend just gone. Nice motor! Anyway, it's on a 53 plate with 35,000 miles and it's up for £19995 The best they can get it down to is £19600 (but that does include taxing it for a year as well) It's in great nick and they service it before they release it to you, but there are quite a few stone chips on the nose and one of the alloys is slightly kerbed. Advice on how far I can push them would be good please. The saleman claimed (typical line really) that the manager was taking the £500 profit out of the car that he was going to make by offering me the above deal - surely the margins aren't that small??!?! Anyway, have seen 3 or 4 more that are in the price range I have and are of a spec I like so may have a look at those (but they aren't as fully loaded as the one I mention above) but the dealer has also offered me a pretty reasonable trade in on my Clio 172 Cup, which could be a good reason for going for the above deal. It will take the pain in the arse out of trying to sell my current car... HELP! Don't know what to do!!!
