  2. Guys, really appreciate all your help, ur life savers! :thumbs:

    Reset the ecu, then took it for a blast. Cut out a few times but I kept letting it cut out then restarted over and over a few times, now the ecu has learnt, now it doesn’t do it

  3. With normal gear change driving it is completely fine.

    Only does it when I drive hard and at speed eg,

    1st gear (6.5krpm)

    2nd gear (6.5krpm)

    and so on, till you get to say 5th then you drop off the revs completely so the revs fall from 5k 6kish rite down past the normal idle position until the needle stops then the engine just stalls.

    Sometimes it will just stop at idle, this is what I cant understand.

    I was thinking maybe, because the filter is very exposed that at speed because the air is rushing directly through the air vents in the bumper and directly head-on the filter, forcing air through, passing the maf sensor (confusing it)

     

    Im going to try resetting the ecu again then take it for a spin.

    I have just called hks and they are looking into it.

    Just a quick 1

    About 3 weeks ago I installed my hks suction kit type 2. installed by the book with no obvious problems. Only thing is, when im having a quick blast at speeds, when I release completely off the accelerator sometimes the revs drop past idle then so low the engine cuts. But this only happens when im moving and travelling at speed.

    I was thinking maybe its because the air is flowing into the car quicker because of the new filter from the car moving??

    Any ideas?

  5. Hi Ben,

     

    I lowered mine by 0.6 inch front and back. Up to an inch and the camber is still within spec. I went for RS-R Ti2000 springs which are recognised as about the best setup for the Zed. They are about 10% stiffer so the ride doesn;t change much.

     

    PS: Those are Piaa Super Rozza's aren't they? One of my favourite wheels.

    Hope every1 is well and driving safe

     

    Just a few thoughts on lowering? The car will look awesome just a bit lower. I lowered my s2000 on eibach springs but had an extreme taper which lead to lots of inside tyre wear and had to buy a camber kit.

    Ive heard the suspension setup on the z if different.

    If I lower it will I get taper still? I know coilerovers give you fantastic performance also the perfect ride height but is it worth it?

     

    Really would like to avoid any negative camber

    What my Z looks like now:

    just a quick 1.

     

    I have just picked up my hks speed delimiter. Was just wondering if there is anything i need to know with regards to installing and safety?

    do i need to program it?

    alot smoother on the motorways and way much more torque :thumbs:

    the S was an awesome car for weekens and summer but hard to live with in the winter months

    me again

     

    I was thinking about putting castrol 10w40 magnetec (prob a typo) in the z.

    I used castrol rs 10w60 in the s2000 and it was fantastic.

     

    10w40 magnetec the rite choice??

    new wheels are ordered, just awaiting number plate swap over :D

     

    already changed the rear lights (led 06 type) and head unit to alpine 9855r with ipod.
