  1. Too much! It's around the £220 mark. It's alot of money but Carbon Fibre costs alot of money. Will fit and take pics, possibly videos if I learn how. I know for a fact that it's going to sound very good as I've heard a few BM's with similar kits. Just got to sit and wait for it to arrive now! Afeen
  2. I'm not helping the JDM cause by being almost 90kg! Anyway, I'm going to fit one of these kits to my car and see what it does. Just waiting for it to turn up, should be around 7 days max. Wasn't easy to get hold of though! Phoned Simota and they put me in toucy with SimotaUK. Phoned them and they can't supply it because it's an exclusive product which no one else is allowed to offer other than one company. Got in touch with them and they are awaiting a delivery from SimotaUK because they sold more than they thought they would. Madness! Afeen
  3. Aah, thats what it means. No, its not a UK model....well, obvioulsy. Phew! A
  4. Uh oh.....what does that mean?? What have I bought?
  5. 2002 6 speed coupe in metallic grey with 47000mls. Pictures.....let me polish it up and I'll get some. A
  6. I'd be interested to know what that was! Must be turbo charged. Afeen
  7. The Carbon airbox is purely for noise and driver enjoyment (if you like that sort of thing). Lighter exhaust is definately a good thing as OEM Jap exhausts tend to weigh an absolute ton. What's the options on exhausts? - and I mean proper well built exhausts which have proper internals. Here's some exhaust porn for the Z: Afeen.
  8. I'm so used to older cars where 100 bhp/litre is unheard of. I guess by modern standard 80 is a bit pants when we have the likes of S2000' and BMW M3's which far exceed 100. A
  9. The ECU must be working inside some really tight set parameters do be able to do this! Most modern ECU's are to some degree adaptive but this sounds like something taken to a different level. Even by passing this ECU learning factor, I'm well aware that an engine has a limit as to what kind of power it can produce. The Z may already be near this limit as it is and therefore modifcations to the headers, intake will really only change the power delivery rather than increase the output. If modifications aren;t working that well it simply means everything has been pretty well designed from factory and the Z is a well optimised. With approx 80 BHP per litre out the box it is quite highly tuned to start with. In which case - you guys are spot on, these mods are about increasing the driveability rather than out and out power. If i'm wrong in anything I say please correct me. A
  10. I've read this quite a few places that nothing will work on our engines. Can you explain, in detail, why please. It's nothing like the GruppeM for our cars. It's similar to the GruppeM for BMW's though. Thanks A
  11. Weird, I posted on the and the post got deleted. I wonder why. A
  12. Hi guys, looking for some info and help on Carbon Fibre intake systems which actually work. So far I've found this: I've found that they work really well on the BMW 6Cyl cars. Has anyone ever tried one of these? They are around £230. Your views would be appreciated. Afeen
