  1. Hi All,

Well after 2 years of thoroughly enjoyable Zed ownership I'm just in the process of trading her in for a Phantom Black Audi RS4.:byebye:

I am genuinely sad to seeing her go and I hope to return to Zed ownership once the next model is announced and available. For now though practicality rules.

Just want to say thanks to those on this forum who helped a lot whenever I had a query. I'll still be loitering around though.

    Cheers,

  2. That is actually very helpful, thanks. I always want to take something away from these kind of circumstances. Just wish they would phrase it as such.

Too prepaired means that you answered the questions right, but failed to put your own personality into it, so you didnt show them who you were at all.

    Thats my theory anyway

  3. well it comes down to the fact that it looks like an evil little bugg*r. I seem to get bored with cars quite quickly (dont get me wrong, i absolutely adore the Zed, i just like change, am even toying with the idea of a 07 zed in black).

  4. I've been thinking about chopping in the Zed for a S2 Exige for a little while now. However, it being a lotus is the big issue putting me off (lack of dealer network, reliability). Would you guys consider it or stick with the Zed?

  5. Hi Guys,

I would have a rant but i haveactually been doing that for the last 2 hours so i thought i'd be a bit more rational.

After four interviews i got turned down for a job at the final stage for being 'too prepared'. This despite always being interviewed first and having the role changed half way through.

Does anybody know what the hell 'too prepared' means  ?

What rubbish reasons have you had for not getting a job?

  6. Now that looks great nana moon.

Did you have no trouble connecting it to the existing Bose speakers and amp? That could be a good option.

Rob Quads, i think you may be right about getting 1 and 2 done first for now.

Drivetime seem to be intent on installing Infiniti speakers, don't know how good they are as a brand.

Thanks for the advice so far by the way guys, i'm learning all the time.

  7. i'm quite easy with what i am looking for, a good touch screen with TV tuner. After reading other posts on the forum it appears that replacing the speakers, amp and sub would be a worthwhile move. saves me doing it later.

i'm superficial enough to just want it to look cool and sound half decent.:D

  8. Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice and where better to come than here? I have finally decided to get off my lazy ass and get a double din screen fitted to my zed. I think having two screens (sat-nav in the cubby) in the car would look awesome.

Do you guys have any recomendations as to what i should be getting? I'm an absolute novice when it comes to ICE, would be looking to spendaround 1.2k.

I am currently looking at the Kenwood DDX-6029 screen along with a TV tuner. While i am at it i may as well change the speakers too.

thanks for your help and recomendations guys.

  9. If they know what the problem is, why do they need to figure out what parts 2 order :headhurt:

I asked Nissan that exact question, the answer was just that they had to diagnose it themselves. Delays the repair by a week at the very least.

Oh well atleast the weather is only average right now, i was loving the car on hot days, sooooo much grip available. :)

  10. Well, a few hours from when i dropped the car off :)

I'm told that Nissan have a policy of only giving premium courtesy cars to 350z owners, their attitude was that 'you can have micra or note if yout want but policy is to give the x-trail'. Needless to say that i won't be driving around in the monstrosity that is the Micra :yahoo:

  11. I have just had my car in to sort out the clicking noise.

Took it to WLN and they were pretty good, a few hours to diagnose the problem, got the car back same day, took it in a week later once they had received the parts and another few hours before i collected again

Do make sure that you specify where the click is coming from, one downside was that WLN managed to cure the right side click but didnt notice the left (neither did i). So the car is back in next week, though atleast i will be getting an X-trail to mess around in as a courtesy car :D:thumbs:

  12. That is a great looking set-up Blacky B)

Thanks for the advice and pics, as a total novice when it comes to ICE i need all the help i can get. Due to the England match yesterday i didnt get a chance to shop around too much but i will get on to that as i want the set up installed ASAP. Just hoping that fitting the kit doesn't cost too much:)

  13. Good call smokey, that's exactly the one i've been looking at. I'm now looking at changing the speakers too. I'm going to visit a few places tomorrow to get quotations.

One thought i did have was to get a hard disk instead of a cd drive, now that would be coolB)

  14. Hey Guys and Girls,

I'm new to installing ICE etc so i have no freakin clue where to start but here goes.

I'm looking to install a TFT screen where the current Double Din Bose unit currently sits. As i already have sat nav installed in the cubby i am just looking for a touch screen tuner/CD combo. What systems would you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance for the advice

  15. Hi All,

Finally got the pics back from the Bedford Track day last weekend, it was a lot of fun. Shame it rained for most the day but the car was great in the wet and dry.

One thing that has put a downer on it is that the car has developed a clicking sound coming from the rear. Any ideas on what this could be? I have it booked in on wednesday so hopefully they can sort it.

Hopefully i've attached the pics properly :)

  16. Hi,

Hanwell Nissan were great with me when i was buying my zed (aren't they always).

As long as you note your mileage before leaving it with them and make a point of doing this infront of a member of staff, you should be fine. Any more than 3-4 miles on the car and i'd be asking a few questions.
